Damn, I just bought a car... If only I saw this a week ago... :(

Certainly is a clean EA... unfortunantly I joined up too late and never saw it in person.

Best of all it hasn't been ruined by having a turbo charger bolted onto it.

lol. Don't worry, I think that a lot anyway. I do miss the way my EA used to look. As tough as it looks now, it's missing a lot of the class that it used to have. If it wasn't for me bending up the front end, that's the way I would have gone with it.

Actually if anything, people that know it's history would probably be more interested. Pictures don't do this car justice, it's probably still the mintest EA in Australia. Tastfully modified and fastidiously cared for. :) The paint job is A+++ too!

Paintjob went a bit downhill when I last saw it about 2 years ago, but it was still something different.

Definitely an iconic car... for the club!

I thought he was trying to sell it several years ago. Glad to see the beast is still going strong though.

You can but you need to cut big holes in the bootlid for the reverse lights. Personally I reckon the EA Ghia rear garnish looks great anyway, which is why I haven't changed it.

when i read the subjest i honestly didnt know what car to expect to be on there.

That thing is immac and honestly i think the price is showing that he wants it to sell like its not an unrealistic price at all.
i wish my 'mont had the 'class' this cars has the turbo blades are ridiculous cleanest i have EVER seen.
hope he has GL with the sale.

Why would you change the garnish from what it has now? The EA one looks mad with the tint and chrome.

Hey Guys, I Love the new site! I nearly fell off my chair when I saw this thread. You guys are too kind!!

Well well, my baby is gone. I watched her drive down the street for the last time. :bye:

I have just finished reading through this thread and I am amazed that you guys still speak highly of it. It makes me one very proud E Series owner, and a great sign off for the car.

I was impressed at the amount of calls over the car. I had no idea it would sell as quickly as it did. I put the add in car sales on Tuesday, and Ebay Wednesday. I had one person look at it and by Saturday morning, it was pretty much sold.

I was a little nervous to hand the car over (My first car), but I guess it was time to move on. I have a couple of toys in the garage, and with the little one on the way, things start to change. The car had done little work over the last couple of years, and spent the last 15 months sitting in the corner of our shed at work, so I did get a chance to clean it up again.

The car made it through its life to date without any stacks and still had all original panels which were only removed for the bare metal respray which was 8 or 9 years ago now.

So I guess that’s the end of an era for me and my car. It has been great!

Bass Crazy signing off……..

I think I remember seeing that car at a Car Audio Australia meet back in 2002 - t'was the annual Pt Nepean / Sorrento Cruise IIRC.

I think I might have a pic of it somewhere...
