identifying pacemakers

Postby CaRtZ » September 14th, 2007, 6:25 pm

with the modern day pacemakers i know they are branded and have either 4499 or 4480 stamped between cyl 1 and 2 otlets. but what about older pacemakers? what can i look at to find out if they are actually pacemaker extractors.
i have been offered a set for $300. he said 'brand new, been sitting off the car for 8 months while the body was being fixed' when i went to see them they had been sprayed black 'touched em up coz they've been sitting outside' but i could not see any distinguishing marks on them.

so how do i tell?
