I was wondering if anyone has any ideas on how i might go about doing a twin turbo setup on my ED 4l which is currently having some reconditioning going on due to the common head gasket problem...

the only reason I'm thinking twins is for something different and I want some real go...I was originally going n/a but have started thinking about boost for some more go.

Otherwise I am happy for ideas on n/a 6 building...I already have the AU Broadband inlet manifold, but I am looking for a good set of extractors if I go n/a

All ideas welcome, it will be progressive build, i might even build current motor n/a then follow up with twin turbo when I kill this motor. Will just have to wait and see what the future holds

G'day, I recommend doing lots of reading on the forums before making a decision. You'll find that the highest horsepower cars do not necessarily have much in common with each other, and single turbo cars are not slower than twin turbo cars. The rule of thumb is that 2 smaller turbos bring better torque, whereas a single large turbo generates maximum HP thus the ultimate quarter mile times. But people who spend enough money can break all the rules, especially when there have been 2000 HP 4 cylinders...

If you are serious about forced induction, however, now might be a good time to put in a modified head gasket for lower compression.

Look through all the build threads on here and im sure that you will find there are diffrent ways that you can get these.
Best to look into also Snort kits

I think Geoff from Snort Performance still has the twin turbo kits for sale. Twin GT30 turbos IIRC.

I thank everyone for their input, altho if i go to twins im only looking small, im not going for the speed side of things as much, im more interested in having a lot of torque as opposed to massive power output as I still want to drive it on the road (for the time being) and although I dont mind going fast, I prefer to get to speed quicker.

Thanks again
