G'day all

Im starting on my ZA/B project soon influenced on the RatRod styling, Looking for some inspiration from others that have built or in the mist of building one weather it be Ford, Holden or even VW. Ive seen some about and have looked around on the net but can not seem to find anything about the Aussie seen in post 60's cars and modern day Ratters. Also interested in the Kustoms and low rider push bikes.

Im really starting to get into this Kustom culture and wondering if there is any one else into it or is in it.

so if there is any out there Show us your RatRod

cheers

Daniel

Rat Rods hey... does anyone even make them in Australia, ever? I've only ever seen more traditional Hot Rods getting around and at car shows.

I was watching the Metallica Rockumentary 'Some kind of monster' again the other day and took particular notice of the Rat Rod that James Hetfield was driving in one of the scenes. It was interesting and in no way possible was it legal to drive on a road anywhere. I laughed.

Anyway here is a start for your inspiration:

I would like to see some phat Aussie choppers though.

They are pretty trendy down here in Vic, along with the 'kustom kulture' scene and the 'rockabilly' stuff too..

I'm in the process of 'ratting' my 6x4 trailer... Something different. Matt black paint, red rims, dress trims etc. Maybe even some squiggly white line shit on the tailgate??

My favorite ratrods are the full oxidised trucks with big banger expensive engines in them. There doesnt seem to be any rules, as long as its low, loud and seedy.

love that whole ratrod rockabilly kulture.... matte black paint, red rims, thick white-wall tyres if you
get it right the style looks unreal and bulk tuff.....

Love all that old skool clothing.... Like mooneyes, so cal etc etc

Check your local newsagencies you'll find bulk rod and other similar magazines.....

The editor of street commodores drives a rad-rodded wagon, its pretty awesome.... I'd love to see
a matte black EA S-pac with red rims, pin stripes n whitewalls.... Could look good, or like a complete
abortion....It shouldnt cost all that much either- the ratty the better....

edit: here's a few random pics Ive found on my laptop....
