you'll find thats normal mate...
get a wiring diagram to figure out the ea pinouts for the radio. i cant remember what they are atm

i'll try to find dads ea manual and from there i can tell you which one does what.
02 vx commodore.
Basically stock. Might fit a ls1 and manual eventually.

get a test light and find what is the constant power and there should be another wire that only puts out power when the ignition is on,then find your earth and run the speaker wires eassy.
good luck

As what trav said, but to find the speakers, use a 9V battery, and listen for the speaker that makes a noise

I couldn't find a constant power in the factory head unit loom in my EA, I had to find it at the plugs for the clock/trip computer up above. The colour that the wiring diagrams listed didn't exist and probing with a multimeter returned nothing either.

But since you got it sorted you don't have the same problem obviously.

yeh i didnt have a diagram just did what the guys said and used a battery to find speakers (fucking random colours compared to the head deck ....... pink and orange = left speaker like wtf) . the constant power my dad did by trial and error.
