just had a run in .............with a pair of 70 somethings at the supermarket carpark.

while i was paying for my stuff i looked out the window of the shop at my car and noticed two old bloke leaning against it on the boot.

so i went out there and said "excuse me guys but i dont really appriciate people leaning on my car. id be pissed off if it was scratched!."

one of them said "yep no worries, sorry mate".

the other old guy says "oh really. is that right. i'll just stand over here then coz this is my car. see! its my car. im leaning on it. see that. but its mine."

so i just said "do what u want. its your car. just dont lean on mine."

he jumped in his car saying "hope my door doesnt hit your car. coz its your car!"

by this stage i was about to loose my sh!t!! so i told him to fu.ck off and get out of here!

and he give me the lecture about ME being a smart ass and that i shouldnt swear.






just curious as to other people views on people leaning on your car? and if anyone got the smart ass response i got from these two olds guys. i got in my car so fu.ckin mad that they were too old to hit square in the mouth!

I had a similar run in at a carpark not long ago. Sat in my car waiting for the person next to me to get out, only to watch her open the passenger side door into my drivers door and walk off like nothing happened.
I got out and said 'thats alright, I dont like having straight panels' she replied with 'its just a car, get over it'
She came back to find her car with my belt marks all up the side of her dark blue Honda, after all, there just cars!

leaning on car full stop is not right or fair at all! i hate it and tell anyone to Fek off if they lean on any of my cars...

I reckon you have plenty of right to tell them stick it, especially if you asked politly first.

i actually was polite as first. mainly because they were old and i thought that maybe they didnt relise they were doing it.

but after the smart ass response from one of them i had no choice but to tell him to get fu.cked! old or not.

respect for other peoples things are very high for me, so I would NEVER ever think of leaning on someone elses car... even if they have done somthing to really piss me off, I still couldent bring myself to fu(k up someone elses shit..

My dadactually got into a mad arguement with a dude who open his car door onto our xr. Dad told him to get fucked after being sort of nice, he cracked the shits. Rather funny to see his face when my brother and i (both around 6ft2) walk up behind our dad. He sort of shutup quickly

Yeah if you were leaning on someones car and they asked you not too... you could respect that and it sounds like this bloke didnt. Likes its already been said, its not right to lean on other peoples cars, Ive had mates lean on mine and I havnt said anything because in the end they are mates and it is just a car but it does disturb you and I wouldnt do it to theirs. I hate seeing some of the little dents down the side of my car from where doors have opened against mine or from trolleys, sure some are from accidents but if people respected other peoples items, crap wouldnt happen. If Im parked close to another car and its a little tight, I always make the point of putting my fingers between my door and their car as I get out, it really isnt that hard to car a little is it? The crap factor is.. he was leaning on your car when his was right there as well... Great lets lean on his car so I dont scratch mine.

you did right mate, if its a friend, person your talking too etc then its prity understandable, these people are the kind that hit your car accidently and will run from the seen, i would of just lent on his car lol

it fucks me off when you see the heavily obese pull up in a car park, and literally kick the fucking door open and lift themselves out of the car...... and the door pulls up a few mm before hitting anything, so you cant really say anything as no damage has been done, but i'd say theyve left their mark many times before with other cars

ive got marks on my car where the button on jeans has rubbed,a nice dint in my door thats to a young lady in a vz an a key mark up the side i only noticed it last night . The young fella leaning on my car was polite an apologised for his jeans marking my car so that soffen's the blow but the young lady in the vz commo just looked and said its only a falcon im sure you could go too the tip and get some parts :'( i was so hurt i could'nt even reply i got in my car and came home.What is it with people not respecting other peoples car? i dont car how much ya hate the person ya dont touch there car its just wrong!

I don't give much of a shit if I know the person leaning on the car. Normally when working on the cars outside if I have mates over they will likely be leaning up against whatever car's in the garage while we talk shit. If they have anything that looks sharp or metallic on their clothes they will be told to get the fk off!!

Iv'e had a few run in's before, 2 of them involving a smashed rear windscreen at a restaurant and a scraped rear bar, and of course not kind enough to leave any details . It really shits me how some people have lack of respect for other people's cars, old or new, crap or mint, it's still their pride and joy.

trolley boy was gathering trolleys, decided he would leave 2 sitting in the middle of the road on a slight slope while he went to get some others from a couple of rows over, the trolleys he left rolled straight down and into the back of my dads GTP. the guy tried to say that it just happened and had nothing to do with him touching any trolleys, but luckily my dad saw it and it will be getting repaired courtesy of woolies soon.

i haven't really had any run ins with people, i've just had the normal crap, first day i was able to drive my car to work some clown opened their door into it, trolley pushed into my car while at work.

the leaning is fair shit though and you had every right to tell them to get off your car, i've got grey marks randomly around my car from people leaning on it. only way the marks come off is to polish them off but yeah i can't be stuffed

I've seen that before too!!!! WHAT THE FCUCK!!!! What is wrong with putting their shit on the ground???? I know the boot of a lowered boxcar does somewhat resemble a coffee table, but if I saw anyone do that to my car they'd cop a Guido Hatzis style lebanese spinning fly kick to the head.

missus takes the car seat out after my son was at school sat it on the roof to shut the door now i have a massive rows of scratches on the roof from where it scraped.
If it is some random knt then there isn't much you can do but if it is someone you know that is disrespecting your shit it almost kills ya.

Happened to my dad once, had a bloke put a slab of VB on the boot of his Landau... It started sliding down the boot and left scratches in the paint. He had a go at the bloke who responded with the "oh its just an old car, who cares?' line... Dad picked up his slab and threw it down a nearby drain... Bloke was a bit speechless after that!

Car parks give me the shits, on friday night I parked in the local shopping centre, and as I was walking away from the car I hear a crunch... Turned around to see a reversing Tarago had embedded its towbar into my rear bumper... I park up the back of the car park, with nothing around me, but they still manage to find me!

A friend of mine's GF was driving his Supra and parked it in a shopping centre carpark. She unknowingly took someones space they were waiting for, and didn't realise until she got out. Abuse was hurled, so she said "sorry, but it's a bit late now... there's plenty of parks nearby" and went shopping.

WELL! The car now has key marks down to bare metal on EVERY SINGLE PANEL. And not just single lines, big swirls and circles and shit. Not happy =(... the car needs a full respray.

When people slam their doors into the mav they hit steel tubes and dent their doors.

its amazing how someone can get that cut up over something so minor

Friends quite often lean up against the EA but I don't allow strangers to. My car got keyed right down the passenger side around Christmas 07' so any small scratches I get are nothing compared to that.

i generally dont like people leaning on my xr8 at all. but if they do (i do sometimes) i just make sure they have nothing on them to scratch it.
same as mates cars i make sure i dont have anything on my pants n shit to scratch it.

one night around town my mates had his statesman out with good paint. his mates rocked up parked next to him yet decided to sit on my mates boot and all lean against his car.
after him saying get off the boot they had a crack at him (yes they cracked at their own mate) and started bein smart asses. so i ripped into them to.
they tried to pull the. "shut up he is our mate"
so i just said well obviously he needs to get mates that arent fuckwits. they didnt like that.
they left after that.

but no shit who leans and sits on a mates car and when he asks them to get off it just starts bein smart asses. especially when its clearly a car that he looks after and has had alot of money spent on.

*hands up* My turn! I had a burgody EA as my first car and it was one of those cars that has a fully rusted bonet and was just rooted so one night we went camping and it was like an orgy on my car. I was so heaven! There was 4 people on my car making out and the what not and i didn't care i was in the back seat living it up lol. I would flip out in the XR now but good times lol
