Hey Guys,

Got a bit of a noob question for you so i'll apologise in advance.. I am wanting to use a trolley jack to lift up my EF ford but the lifting plate doesnt have a big enough gap to clear the sheet metal on the jacking points used for the standard scissor jack provided.. I was just wondering where you think the best place to jack it from is.. Is there any specific areas at the front and back of the car where i could jack it from?? and also, where would you recommend putting the safety stands for maximum stability?

Cheers,

Will

What do you need it jacked up for?? At the rear just do it off the diff. Personally I'd always use stands or something similar when jacking up a car.

yeh at the rear i jack off the centre of the diff. or off the lower control arms.
for the front i use the flat section pretty much just behind the factory jack points.
for chassis stands i use the chassis rails.

Is there any points underneath the motor so i can just jack up the front in one go?

i have ultras and i can get my trolley jack under my diff fine. takes alot of little pumps untill the car is up a bit but it works.
and with 19's on it has no worries rolling under the sides as well.
with 15's or 16's i usually have to lift the car a bit to get jack under the sides tho.
