bad luck.

hey guys i thought i show you wat happened to me yesterday after a shit day at work.
i was driving home then i couldnt change gears so i pulled over and noiced that when the clutch cable goes
though the firewall it has ripped open.
i ended up fixing it with some flat bar and a hole in it and works perfect just gotta get a cable now.
it was on a ed xr6


heres a photo of the bit that ripped out.

if you weld a peice of thick metal and drill a hole for the cable it should be all good, fords are alot better than commodores all over, i miss my old EA, it was alot more comfy and smoother than this shitbox VR i drive now :banghead: :banghead:

i am liking the falcon much more than the vn 5sp i drove before

all the fords i have owned have always been better than any holden ive driven, the VR i have now the auto feels like its stuffed but ive had it looked at and its aparently fine

i put in the new clutch cable today and i cant belive how much better it made the clutch feel :)

lol dont get me wrong, i'd rather replaced headgaskets every 80,000 km than drive a shitter VN/VP/VR/VS

Ford rules in most apsects apart from crap auto gear ratios, headgaskets, and the issue youve found already

so true, i regreted buying my VR from the start, but it was the only car that was in my pricerange that was actully in any kind of good condition, but hopefully before the end of july i will have a 4x4
