Been just floating around the site for a while, getting a bit of info and seeing what others are doing to their cars.
So here are a few pics of the wife's car I picked up for her, but at the moment I use it more than her and it will just be her/our daily drive.

Bought the car basically as it is,just fitted the side skirts, fitted clear side and corner indicators, put an AU console in and a lot of tidying up and much needed maintance (brakes,p/s pump, pedal box, rear axle, tyres ect).
Just have to replace the hood lining and fit BF interior lights and a good polish!!

Looks great! Was this the one that used to be owned by someone on Fordmods?

Sweet ride, not a big fan of the scoop but I've seen far worse.

Any engine mods yet?

Not sure about the motor. Rocker covers have been painted and I'm told you have to remove the upper manifold to get the driver 's side off. Lot of mucking around to paint a cover.
Idles like it has a cam but might need a good tune, though it runs well and pick up is good.
Will have to get it tuned and put on a dyno to be sure.

The scoop will eventually be functional. Since it's there it may as well work!!

Thanks for the comments.
holmsy you're right , all the info on how I fitted the AU console is in that thread.
Well have just about finished all the work on the EB, nothing too flash as I said before , it's going to be a daily ride.
Picked up another hood lining out of an EL Gli and fitted AU/BF interior lights. Now I can see what I'm looking for at night!!

Also got a boot liner out of an EL Fairmont Ghia and trimmed it to fit the EB.
Image

Painted the BBQ plate of the motor same as the car. Just have to get some blue around the lettering and along the front line and some signatures (what she wants!!).
Image

Changed the door handles to EF/EL's
Finally a cut ,clay and polish of the car to try and get the old paint to shine again.

All that's left to do is change the mirrors, put an SVO bootlip on and get it tuned. Went for a run over the weekend, did about 440 klms and took 46lts to fill her up,so it's not running too bad.

Plates were on the car when purchased. Basically means the car now is a DEVIL.
Since the car is for the other half and her children have always called her Wildchild (used to drag a monaro in the 70's), seem appropiate to keep the plates and call the car Devil's Child.
