My 92 Fairmont

Postby 92EBFAIRMONT » August 21st, 2010, 9:12 pm

Hi guys,
Here's a little bit about my Fairmont.
It was bought brand new by my Dad in 1992 and has been in my family since. It was my Mum's car and was given to me in 2008 when she upgraded to a VT SS Commodore. She never really liked him, and was basically finding an excuse to upgrade, which ended up being that he was too old and the engine was dying. I later figured out that the lack of power was because the accelarator was being blocked by the carpet  . She knew I had always been fond of him so she passed him on to me (BTW I'm saying him because I named him Bluey when I was 4.) The only problem was that I was thirteen so I obviously couldn't drive it on the road. So his last outing whilst being registered was towing the go karts to the track and then back to my Mum's partner's property where he has sat next to the go kart trailer for the past couple of years. I try to get over there and drive him as much as possible so the engine doesnt completely die. Anyway I've got a list of mods and things I want to do in my build thread viewtopic.php?f=3&t=16831
Anyway here are the pics of 'Bluey'

And this is when we took him out for a run a while ago

Okay, well that's the short story of my car.
Tell me what you think of him.
Thanks

Oh don't you worry, I will definitely be dumping it, only problem is I wouldn't know how to, I mean I could probably pay someone to do it but getting it to the shop would be a problem...
I'd like to polish up the turbo blades but i think they're a bit scratched. i'm not really sure, I'll have a look when I'm next out there...
Thanks for the input

If you polish them it'll polish the scrathes out of them. And as for dumping it. If you want a cheap way. jack it up, take off the wheel, take the spring out (self explanitory when you see it) The CUT 3 coils and refit. SLAMMED!

Cut coils work best if you only cut about 2 coils off, and throw the bulk of it away.

It's a paddock bomb. Just leave it as is and thrash the crap out of it. Make a few jumps, video and post them up.

No way! It's in too good condition to just destroy it. And besides I don't do jumps and shit like that.
Thanks anyway

fucken LOL!

92EBFAIRMONT: Well it also depends on if you want to sell it later in the future or keep it and mod it extensively then transfer what you can to a newer model. Thats what im doing with my setup's

Yeah don't do that, or if you do don't have a down ramp.
Trust me doesn't end well.

Bigdell: Don't worry I like hooning around but I've never been into jumps or smashing up the cars or anything like that.
Phat EL: Thanks mate, that's what I plan on doing, aside from getting a new car...
