Hey everyone, im new to this forum and ford owning thing so just thought id introduce my self. I joined this forum to try get some info on turbo fords having never owned one and try share my input where its needed hah.

I just reccently aqquired a 1995 EF Fairmont, i swapped it for my VR SS. it was probably one of the smartest things ive ever done, the fairmont does 6.2l per 100ks im not sure if thats because of the african land snail under the bonnet but its amazing to drive anyway heres some pics of it. Thanks for taking the time to read this any questions and ill be more then happy to answer what i can

Power is still untested its still running a cold start 2psi tune, time will change that though. As for build specs all i can tell you is whats been done not brand specific at the moment ill do my best with out going out in the rain to look :)
-ACL rebuild kit
- turbo smart external waste gate
- turbo smart blow off valve
- garrett GT35/40r
-3.5" turbo back exhaust
-AU ported head( pre VCT)
-crow cam( i think?)
-larger injectors (not sure what cc)
-044 bosch fuel pump
-front mount intercooler ( again unsure of dimensions or brand)
-ems stinger ECU
-t5 gearbox
-3:45lsd
-xr6 short shifter
sorry thats all i can tell you today, on sunday ill be putting it up on the hoist to get in and around the engine bay get a closer look then ill be able to provide some more detailed specs. untill then this is all i can really tell you :)

Thanks TechXR i have the standard ford badge in the car ill chuck that on for now but ill be chasing a fpv badge soon. 8-) Realistically the whole bonnet needs a respray the BA XR8 Buldge join is a bit obvious but thats the only floor i can see :)

Well the SS had 280rwhp and was also manual it wasnt bad nice 2 drive, the fairmont feels like its got more power hidden under the bonnet ( its only running 2psi) but you can tell once its tuned and I trust it a bit more the fairmont would destroy the SS.

Everything about it other then suspension feel is smoother and quicker suprising since i when i thought down grading to a 6 would be boring.

Why go easy on the t5 i thought they were fairly strong? :?

t5's dont get a real lot of love on these forums, haven't brocken mine yet. (touch wood, to qualify that i dont drive it everyday ;) )

But in my experience if your clutch isn't much chop you'll know about it pretty quickly when it spits it out on the dyno.

cheers mate i had a look definatly sounds like it was back on the 1st or 2nd turbo set up and engine, not sure. But know for a fact it doesnt have any head gasket or manifold leaks now only thing that leaks is the catch can. Which is annoying but just needs sum sealant on the conection. Be looking forward to see what hp figures it will run this week if i can get it on the dyno. dont really mind how much its putting out its my daily ride after all

nice purchase :good:
I used to see this car all the time around kelmscott but never had time to stop and chat with the previous owner,
are you local to kelmscott or do you live somewhere better haha?

IMHO opinion 3rd gear only suffers on T5's because some people are shithouse at doing 2nd to 3rd shifts

Nice pick-up, was one of my fave E-series, and was always joking with the previous owner about who would get boosted first ...he beat me by miles, lol.

Will be good to see this thing back out on some PES cruises! ;-)

cheers man im in W.A so i dont get any attention from the pigs in the fairmont( touch wood) hah its fairly quiet and clean so they dont notice its actually a lil bit of a sleeper :P but i used to get hassled all the time just being a p plater in in my old ss. The local boys knew me and where i like to wrap a nut but dont have to worry about that the fairmont doesnt get that treatment. :good:
