New and stock... for this moment...

Postby Jordan » March 27th, 2012, 5:59 pm

Hey all, been lurking here for quite a while now, and thought it might be time to actually post something and introduce myself!
First I will just say that this forum has a great wealth of information, and everybody seems to be very helpful and friendly towards one another. Good to find a car forum with a bit of community :) .

ME: Not much interesting here, Mechanic apprentice who just moved to Tamworth chasing work.

The Car: Still not very interesting lol. Pretty much stock standard XHII Falcon Ute, manual (had to be really). Got an exhaust on it but it really only makes it sound tougher than it really is! Enough to get me into a bit of trouble now and then anyway ;)

Anyway, hopefully you will hear more from me in the future as either the ute gets more attention or an upgrade to something better and (more importantly) faster is made.
Cheers,
Jordan

Yer its not too bad, there is a few things that need a fix up, couple of small rust patches, worst is in one of the door sills. The door handles typically need attention, as well as drivers door hinge. passenger door has already been done, had almost fallen off so there is now 1/4" backing plate holding it on :D .
Id like to do something with suspension, tighten it all up, put something decent in the rear with an LSD. Then rebuild an AU motor, bolt a Turbo on and throw it in with a new ECU.
After that I would love to fix up all the panels, get it real smooth and paint it black. Not many modified XH's going around, and ultimately I would love something that is different, and can keep up with the best of them.
All in good time.... and dollars.
