It's About Time I introduce Myself And My Ride

Postby TUFFeNF » September 16th, 2012, 8:17 pm

Hi There,My name is Seb,Im from Melbourne i thought its about time to introduce myself.Ive been on this forum nearly a year and been to of a couple of cruises and events and have met a few of the boosted guys and girls but ive been a bit slack on introducing and posting my ride.I bought a NF Fairlane just over a year ago off an old man in pretty good condition, its a 4 litre with 152,000 K's on it,in very stock original condition,High like a fwd i immedietly had plans for it.these are some pics from oldest to most recent,Im sought of spewin that i didnt take any photos of it when it was at stock height but there are plenty of picks that you can google to see what a stock NF looks like anyway here they are..... yeh wheels are pre au,no issues,as long as guards are rolled,I HAD ISSUES WITH TH BF 18'S I HAD ON SO I HAD TO ROLL THE GUARDS, BUT THAT WAS DUE TO THEM HAVING ADAPTORS ON,SO TO PLAY IT SAFE I ALSO WENT ONE SIZE SMALLER ON TYRE WIDTH WITH 225'S INSTEAD OF 235'S AND THEY ARE FINE,BUT I COULD HAVE GOT AWAY WITH 235'S, AND I FOUND THAT THE CAR CLEARED SPEED HUMPS ALOT BETTER WITH 20'S ON.THE ONLY SMALL ISSUE I HAD IS A SLIGHT RUB ON THE INSIDE PLASTIC IN THE WHEEL ARCHES AT FULL LOCK REVERSING UP A DRIVE WAY , BUT I FIXED THAT WITH A HEAT GUN AND PUSHED IT IN SLIGHTLY, WORKED OUT WELL.

Hey guys, I'm new to the forum. I own a 93 EB GLI. The car has a EL XR6 conversion and a fair bit of suspension work. I got the car from a mate of mine that had had it sitting in his yard for a few years. After replacing all the suspension bushes, and a couple of other things the car turned out pretty good. Can't believe how well it handles.
