is the thermo fan conversion really worth the stuffing around??
if anything the cars running abit cold

how do i go about fixing this?? atm im lucky to enter the "normal" part of the temperature guage

hmm, your thermostat could be stuck open. Have you checked that?

Thermo fan conversion is great will free up power, rev easier and be a bit quieter. Pm me if you need some help checking thermostat :grin:

okey dokey, how do you go about checking the thermostat?? My mechanic mentioned it a while back but i never really looked into it
cheers for the help guys

oh and as for the 5 speed brocky, im still looking into the conversion just struggling for money at the moment (part time wages)
schmee had one for sale not to long ago, fully installed for $1000, unfortunately i couldnt tee up the cash in time

bit of an update:
car now has pioneer 6.5" front and rear ( had no idea u had to pull the lock tabs out to get the door skins off, lucky this website was here otherwise i would have lost it)Image
after getting a new thermistat and pumping up the tyres a tad, my fuel consumption has now hit a sky high of 290km a tank
i recently had the car dynoed at casey automotive and ended up puting out 115.5rwkw which iv heard isnt to bad for an auto ED
apparently there ordering in the gear to burn j3 chips and i should have a dyno tune within the next few weeks

had the car on the dyno again, this time with an EL ECU, J3 chip, larger intake piping and a new throttle cable

hey mate PM 'MR.CVE' on this forum. He tuned my car 143 RWKW with a VERY safe tune. I can run 91 octane and it still wont ping. Paul is his name and he has shit loads of experience with J3's.
