My EF GHIA 2

Hi, Bevan here, from Rotorua NZ, I'm 30 years young, have had a few Fords before MK 5 cortina sport, XB through to XF utes and XD fairmont, bought this car over 2 years ago for 5 grand stock standard, was off to Hamilton to look at EB2 V8 but this was on side of road in town, drove it and grabbed it.
Got coby 2 1/2 exhaust no cat (dont need one here) and headers put tip on not long ago, pod filter on stock intake for now.
Bought the 18 inch drift r's and got free lowered springs thrown in, rapped.

to do list:
In process of putting on boss bulge with working exit at rear or bulge to vent eccess heat from engine bay(going to do before and after temps to see if much difference)
3" intake
got to buy head and port polish and cam and swap over to keep on road,
I might try find whole engine or wrecked ef/el and make up turbo spec engine so to swap over quicker
of course few more bits and pieces on the way. Unfortunately this may take a couple of years but I can still enjoy the car ad go on club runs in the mean time.
Just joined the ford muscle car club in Tauranga had one run with them had fun, next we got day at race track so cant wait to give it a decent run and see how it handles right on the edge without worrying bout lamp posts and the fuzz etc

might as well fit a big trans cooler while your at it, because it wont take long to boil the fluid in the auto if your punting it around the track

im using a Derale cooler which is fairly large, but will be replacing it with this PWR i got from Repco for $150 which is a bit overpriced but wasnt much choice at the time. Also get it to bypass the radiator which can save future headaches if the radiator fails and mixes auto fluid with coolant

had to be at least one ex kiwi round here, there's enough there even my sis has moved over, still not bad over this side of ditch and as sterling would know places as good as napier not to far away just over 2 hours.
I've always liked the tough 5 spoke mags had to put them on when i saw 'em.

nice bulge, would have been better if it was bigger so you could fit gauges under it.

i remember the old VK commodores with the reverse cowel scoop that you could fit gauges in, using smoked face gauges you couldnt seem them until they were turned on

bit of an update, got the wife a car to run around in (legacy wagon) now got car to myself. Fitted large transcooler, made up steam pipe equal(ish) length turbo man. got intercooler and turbo,45mm external gate, saving up for J3 chip and tuner, and fuel pump, injectors and I think i'll be able to put it together!
First another track day this sunday hopefully its damp so I can keep up with some 8's.
