G'day

Back in October I came across this site when I was considering buying a car that was for sale, from reading the posts back then I know more then a couple of members do not think to highly of the car lol but I am hoping being the new owner I will get a chance at a first impression and the car might even get the chance to make a second one ;-)

Since purchasing the car I have detinted the lights and raised it up a little had the supercharger rebuilt plus I have had the top half of the inlet manifold, supercharger, piping and extractors ceramic coated. In the next month or two I plan to have the seats retrimmed and apart from that I'm going to just enjoy it for a while.

I'm sure some of you have worked out the car I'm talking about by now but if not it's Triksix.

Anyway I hope no one will hold what ever previous feelings they had about the car against me or the fact I live in SA lol I spent the first twenty years of my life in VIC

I will post up some more later and if anyone is interested I will post a couple of updated pics in the next week or two.

thanks
Dean.

If this is the one that was featured in Street Fords, then I personally loved the exterior, something different and it stands out. Didnt read anything on the build etc only the magazine article and I loved it mate, Good buy!!

Good to see some more supercharged falcons here!

Post up some pics, is Triksix the goldy coloured one with a XR front conversion?

G'day

Yes this is the gold EF with the EL XR front that was featured in Street Fords, some people might also know it from the Geelong AFD as it has managed to pick up best E series for the previous four years.

thanks
Dean.

G'day

Hey I want to thank everyone for the welcome I will get some pics up next week.

I am going to be entering it in the Adelaide AFD and if I can get the few things done that I want to in time I might bring it over and enter it in the Geelong AFD too :)

Welcome, you've purchased a pretty nice car.

Most comments regarding the car and its winning at AFD for the past 4 events arn't really targetted towards the owner or the car, more so at the organisers/judges who consistantly judge it so highly, or even its eligibility given its winning in previous years.

Do you have any plans for it when you've got it?

G'day

I had planned to get to this show but I'm starting to doubt the car will be ready in time though you can expect to see the car at a few shows through out the year.

G'day Mate

Thanks for that, I have had the car since Oct and as I think I mentioned in my first post (can't remember) I am in the middle of an engine bay freshen up with some ceramic coating ect.

I ditched the standard cat and have a high flow cat now apart from that I'm going to have the seats done early in the new year and other than that there wont be many changes going on.

It is still going to be shown every chance I get but I also drive it like for example to the drive in (god I hate twilight! things we do for our children lol)

thanks
Dean.

Those seats definately let it down a tad!

Look forward to seeing you improve it.

Id lose the badges if there on it still (BA XR6 badges on front guards and dash spear)

G'day Mate

Not sure about the orange tickford part but it does run a RF sound system, you might have seen it at Geelong AFD or in Street Fords (or the stereo in Street Machine late last year)

thanks
Dean.

I had some shots done last week of the car, thought I would post a few of them up for people to see.

The car will be changing before the end of the year but for now this is how it looks.

G'day

It was a tuff field at Geelong AFD this year I'm not even sure where the car came but I'm going to tell myself it was third lol

Besides getting a screw right through the rear tire on the way into the oval and having to drive home on one 15" rim and three 19" I had a great day and seen LOTS of cars though next year I won't be driving straight back home to Adelaide after the show (makes it a bloody long day)

The banger should look a bit different by the next Geelong AFD but I'm already looking forward to the trip over :)

G'day

Can't believe it has been almost a full year since I visited boosted!!!

The gold car has changed a little since I last posted up some pics and there are even more changes in store over the next twelve months.

I will log in more often though to check for possible cruises in SA and with updates if people are interested.

G'day

Thanks for the positive feedback on the new look :)

One of the changes I am considering for this year are the rims but before I decide on what type I need to make up my mind once and for all if I'm going to two tone the car.

Vic AFD this year? I might send the entry form away and just see how I go.

thanks
Dean.

Mate that looks tops! Not 100% on the kit and I think it needs to be an inch or two closer to the ground but... I love it! I want the old TRICK6 plates.. :-(

G'day

re: the mesh, I'm not sure what I am going to do with that because it sort of depends on if I two tone the car and that sort of depends on what type of rims I end up deciding on. I do get what you're saying though.

re: the ride height, I assume you remember how low it used to be? lol..... got defected on the way home when I bought the car, at the height it is now I have no problems when cruising which I do a fair bit so even though I agree with you and would love to drop the front a little more at this stage I'm content to leave it at the level it is and not get defected every time it rolls out of the shed.

Dean.

Do NOT two tone it!!!

Also, whatever you do, DO NOT put chrome rims on it!

Apart from that, the car looks great, don't mess about with it just because you've got nothing better to do.

i agree, the outside looks to be pretty much 'done'
maybe start doing something more to the interior

i reckon rims in a similar style to jet xr's would finish of the exterior perfectly, or fr's...

i love the kit, thats what i thought about putting on my ghia, i just dont wanna deal with the seller lol

black engine bay/bonnet with mirrors makes some good contrasts too, good look.
