you better think about upgrading your tail shaft if you are going to take the car over 180km/h.
nice car by the way looks very clean.

Tailshaft isn't the drama, it's the extention housing on the box. If you want 14's, manual it.

yeah at were i work they can build me a stronger tailshaft 67rce what happens to the extension housing and does that happen with like with the auto or manaul

yeah no point removing it as you will just end up killing yourself.

also there is a heap more better ways to get the power from the motor then a raptor kit. especially now days.

im picking up a AIT turbo kit, good for over 250rwkw (been proven) and a 2nd hand intercooler piping. in total with upgraded fuel pump and new ebay intercooler less then 2k.

sure it might not be the best out there but as a starter kit it will produce more power then the raptor kit and cost less then half the cost of the raptor kit.

but if your dead set on supercharger have a look at the snort performance M112 supercharger kit. bolts straight onto the side of the head and looks tough

The extention housing shatters, letting the tailshaft cause carnage

looks nice, i love the colour and the wheels. one thing i would do, i know its only a GLi and always will be, but find a futura or fairmont dash spear and change it over, the mint green just doesnt look good.

here is the one i got in my NC Fairlane

Image
i now have a fairmont one in there but cant find the pic

Adypie wrote:you can get an xr6 one. but it'll always be a lie. the whole act of changing badges is a fail.

if you hate the green, just paint the whole dash spear or some shit.

Just as fail as putting wheels off another model onto yours...... Basically you've called Rollin's ED a Fail, It's a GLi, with ED XR6 Badging, ED XR front, ED XR interior and a fuckload more power, where is teh fail there?

OMG I LOVE ROLLIN SO MUCH!!! :swoon:

My car has parts from so many different cars on it I should apply to QLD transport for an individually constructed vehicle registration!

Getting back on topic, the reason the extension housing on the box could let go is because the tailshaft isn't perfectly balanced from factory and at high speeds can develop a 'whipping' motion similar to what a skipping rope does when you have a person on each end.

If you get the shaft balanced really well you shouldn't have any problems, but fitting a tailshaft loop would be a good idea also.
