Hey guys
My name is NateXR and this is my El Xr6.
Current mods are Dev 5 JMM low comp motor, 3" mandrel bent intake, JMM race series headers, 2.5" mandrel bent exhaust into twin dump pipes, Rebuilt auto trans with stage 2 shift kit, ultra-low springs all round, pedders sports ryder shocks, slotted rotors. All sitting on a set of 19" FPV typhoon wheels.
Future mods will include fitting a procharger kit with intercooler, haltech computer, rebuild diff with 4.11 gears. Hopefully at the end should be getting close to the 300rwkws mark...Hopefully!
At the moment car is under going some body work due to an international licensed driver also getting a tickford kit fitted at the same time.
Cheers.

It sucks that the wheels are becoming more common now considering that i bought them mid last year, but thats the way it goes. Anyway, an update on the repair of the bodywork.
After accident

Repairs at the moment
Ended up cutting whole side off the car and welding a donor side back on. BIG JOB!

Hopefully it will only be another couple of months, as it is only getting worked on every weekend, till it is back on the road.

I got t-boned through traffic at a keep clear intersection. The idiot couldnt see but decided to go anyway. To make things worse he didnt have insurance. I didnt go through my insurance cause the damage came to over 80% of market value and didnt want it to be a repairable write-off. Doing the repairs with girlfriends father who is a pannel beater and his mate is painting the car when all repairs are done.
Makes it alot cheaper doing it this way.

good to see your fixing it, and not just replacing
painting the whole thing?

Yeah painting the whole car, fitting ticky kit and might be pumping rear guards or rolling them
whatever it takes so i can tuck tire with scrubing.

Im suprised its getting repaired and not just written off!
Should look mint with the kit, although, just big rims, dumped and no kit looks the goods too.

U definatly dont need to pump the gaurds to fit 19z as i had 19z with 265/30/19 tyre and had plenty of room for a 285/30/19 tyre and all i done was roll the gaurd lip.
Lucky u got family/friends around to help u get ur car on the road again, i hope u get this idiot to pay for everything???

OK sorry guys about the massive break between posts. A lot has happened since then.
Body work:
Have now got majority done on the car. Still have to get the front bar plastic welded. New boot lid ready to go cause old boot has cancer. Not sure on putting wing back on but is getting fix non the lease. Ticky kit all shaved (I hate fibreglass) aswell.
Want to go original colour (cardinal red) but want to customise it. Maybe red ice pearl through it. Still have to get samples made up. Nothing over the top. Just something a little different.
Motor work:
I know that earlier I said that I was going to procharge the motor, but turbos look so damn cool. So I ordered a stage 3 snort kit. Got it fitted and tuned by the boys at Hi-Torque. Only have a couple of tunes at the moment.
7psi = 364rwhp
11psi = about 420rwhp (what the boys at hi-torque recon)
Brendan Mock recons that the bottom end can handle 450rwkws, not to sure on that. Sounds like bull! But i tell you, that timing chain problem is really pissing me off. Had it adjusted, but it still keeps coming loose. Just waiting to break that chain guide. That is going to have to go before boost is cranked up.
Anyway here are some pics.

Definatly will be . I don't want to imagine what I'd do if what happened to your car happened to mine
I wouldnt let the insurance company take it . I'd fix it. Its a keeper .

Thanks guys... Can't thank my painter enough for the great job he did... Makes all the prep work worth it, especially when all done by file and block (no air tools).Took twice as long but worth it in the end.

Well i got my car back from the tuner... Made 404.7rwhp on 10psi. He said it was a lazy tune, had to add more timing but said it should make around 500rwhp with some more tweaking. I think the exhaust will let me down as it is only 3".Anyway, not really interseted in 500 if it means it is going to break down all the time. I want to drive the car as much as possible not look at it in the garage. 400hp is plenty to have some fun with on the street...
Anyway, he is the dyno sheet...
