Hi everyone. New on here.. Me and my XH ute

I'm new on here and thought i'd say g'day and tell u about myself and my car and try and put some photo's up.. :good:
My names Brent, but my nick names Crash.. I've been mates with a few guys on here and thought i'd 'sign up'..
I've had a few Fords but like the XH the most..
It's got the old 6cyl out of my ED in it now and the manual. The motors been bored 65 thou, with ACL duralite flat tops (they were for a 250ci with 200ci rods), the bottom end is a EB-ED with AU rods cos they're longer. Weren't long enough so we decked the block 40 thou.. Has an ED XR6 head which has been ported and a Wade 977B cam, adjustable cam gear, Pacemaker extractors (4480), gutted cat, 2.5" exhaust, XH manual comp, adjustable fuel reg.

The last time i had this motor on a dyno was in the ED, it made 147.5 RWKW's with a shit tune. I'm gonna dyno it again now it's all in the ute..

The body's a bit rough but it is only my dirter. I've just tidied up the body a bit and gave it a respray. Its got a stock interior and exterior (the way i like it) except for a few personal touch's, ie; EL Ghia cluster with the oil pressure and volts gauge, AU side indicators, new tail lights with the clear indicator, 4 and 8 inch rims with 165's and 265's and lowered of coarse (no blocks :) )...

Theses photo's are before the paint job.

Nah, prob's not at Wayne's..
If you we're ever in Geelong alot you would've seen the ED around for sure.. It was a fair skid pig.
I was going through tyres like no tommorow. Manual and a spool with 3:45's will do that.. ;)

I didn't have them made personally. I bought off a guy who did though. He had them on an XG ute.
I love the look. Takes some people a bit to notice but when the do they spin out. ha ha ha :)

The fat & skinny stockies on the ute look awesome. You've had some clean rides :good:

What wheels are on the NA in that pic, moon dome caps or whatever they're called?

Thanks man.. Too b really honest i'm not sure. I've hardly driven it with them on it. And since i haven't had my license i've rebuilt the front end.
My misses drives it and doesn't have any problems. Hahaha
She says she can tell the difference though..

Iv'e got Monroe lowered struts in the front with super low King Springs.. It lowered it 50mm.
As for the rear its been lowered heaps. I had the leafs reset at Pedders but i wasn't happy with how it sat (stupid 1tonne suspension) so i pulled the leaf pack apart and removed 2 of the leafs.. It's not bad coz it doesn't have blocks in it so i'm happy...

I dont see the point of a 4in front wheel on a near standard car. Does this thing lift the front wheels in the air on launch? Is the rolling resistance/weight that important?

Will just make it handle/stop like shit and they don't even look any different to a normal 6in front wheel.

Cos i can and cos i like it..
It's the same as why have 265's on the rear with a "near standard car"....
No, it doesn't lift the front wheels but who cares.. I like the look of it and thats all that matters isn't it..?
It doesn't handle or brake any different

Yeah tbh I cant really see the point of the front runners, and it wasnt til the 2nd picture I actually realized. But then, whats the point in mag wheels either right. Great looking ute, Love it on the ceptors.
