I better introduce myself, name is Jake, live in newcastle NSW and like fords!
I am not able to drive yet... Im 16 this year.
Guess I like fords cos I liked the hotrods and dad has only owened fords since I've been around!
I hope to be a mechanic one day, either that or computer technican since computers are pretty easy to me, but mechanics interest me more, working as a performance tuner would be great. Doing an automotives course at tafe next year (2008)

Here are the cars, dads is EF and he gave me the EA but its rusted too far so he might just give me the EF for my first car... or i will just buy a car myself :P.
We got the EF 160,000k's for $2800 (private sale), is a 4.0l auto, its been going great, just a few little things like the rear brake switch needed replacing, the interior light switches in the doors needed a spray with WD40, and the last muffler fell off cos one of the rubber bands was letting it hit the wheel and it wore a hole then fell in 2 peice (not onto the road, it was still hanging on 2 bands) so now the last muffler has a strait pipe welded over it.
EF mods so far is xr suspension, and a new head unit.

The EA was bought second hand for $15,000 and that had the break light switch brake on it, the power steering switch is leaking, the high tension lead needed replacing and the rear uni joint came apart (even though it was makeing noises for months and we knew what it was, just never got around to replacing it till it actually broke lol). This has been a very reliable car over the 260,000k's its done! the rust got to it, its way too far gone.
EA mods are lowerd, more at the front and thats probably it.

Hey Welcome Jake! I reckon the Ea will become an awesome car with a little time and effort, keep on it! Happy new years too. Mines an Ea falcon 1988 model, starting to come up nice.

Thanks guys.
The EA has rust going up towards its roof on each corner so its not gonna be safe even if i do fix it up, there is soo much rust its not worth $500 for the time and effort this will need to be fixed, unfortunately. I was going to fix it up and bought a new angle grinder to cut out the rust, but after realising it wasnt just the spots i could see, made me realise its gonna be a huge job, the wheel arch had a small spot i could see, but the whole arch has rust on it. Although it is mechanically good, maybe I should do something like this with it http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qe_mS_ucYCM
lol... one day... :P

lol commando, their both photoshoped plates :D
