AU FALCON NON TURBO DAILY (Driven by Heels :P)

So I have had this falcon for around 3 years now and it's been through a hard life until I got my hands onto it....
Had quite a few owners and a few little prangs.. Anyways it has been my daily ever since I got it and waved goodbye to my first car (01 lancer)

Paid $14000 for 2 cars. A series 2 AU Ute (Now owned by my ex :@) and my car (still trying to work out a name)
Anyways here are a few piccies. I have heaps planned for her, next few months should be interior back to normal after having to figure out the electric window problem and running without door trims for like 3 months and the body kit fixed, thanks random bimbo chick :l

Pic of both cars.

I just love the way she sits :D
Image
Don't mind the crack in the kit.. I lent it to a friend for 5mins to go up the road and he 'attemted' to drive up a really steep driveway

Image
I have since raised the suspension a little (I think chopped springs are a little dangerous :P)

Image
First highway run and she still doesn't let me down.

New shinys :P only 18s

Time for the new exhaust. Reasoning for the maroon boot.... The old one had the wing on it which I am quite fond of, but it wasn't sealed properly and the plugs were still in the bottom of my old boot so water plus sitting for a long time led my old one to rust out. This is just what we had sitting around. Getting resprayed soon so I have had it on the car for a few months now :) Also have changed the boot garnish to a ghia I think its off. Chrome and says falcon?!?!

So as many of you would know the roof lining tend to drop ALOT. So I found some stuff I had laying around while waiting for my custom one which still isn't finished and stuck it to my old roof lining works a treat but can't wait for the new one :)

Anyways that my car, lots planned so watch this space and might even chuck a build topic in once we get the turbo part started :) :good:

looks neat, something different, you thinking of changing the grill and bonnet to the series 2-3 one?

Thanks mezza18... I have grown quite fond of this grill but looking at getting rid of the bonnet and I have a series 2 in the shed so will see. But have been eyeing off a nice bonnet with a scoop and its a series 1 bonnet. Just don't know if I can justify spending over $700 on a bonnet when that could do my interior. Especially since mine is good. Was looking at the hawk kit and grill but someone in townsville beat me too it. Good thing he goes to the same mechanic as me otherwise I woulnd't have known.

For now she is staying the way she is until the turbo is in and done. :)

If you know of anyone chasing a wing the same as this one I don't want it anymore. Looks great without it. Showed one of my partners mates yesterday what it looked like on there and decided I hate it :P So for sale. PM me offer

can't say i'm usually a fan of big wings but i thought it looked pretty good on this. au's usually need something on the boot to fatten them up a bit. do i need to put up the pic of YDS-OOB again, for an example of what an au arse should look like.

Thought I would post some more pics up... Been thinking and playing around with some ideas!! Got an xr6 with black interior and so far have gotten around to fitting the door trims. Too much going on with visitor and the V8's to do too much.
Got my new discs (crossdrilled and slotted) so looking forward to non squealing brakes. Recieved my shift kit thanks to skinart!! Looking forward to after all the mayhem and getting everything done.. Found an intake from an ed that will work well for the intercooler so everything is falling into place!! Here are some pics!! :)

Just having a play round what do you guys think???

^^ agreed, needs a ts grille and bonnet, or you could go xr and not have to replace the bonnet.
I'm not a fan of the s1 falcon 'teeth' grill lol

LOL!!!

I really don't like the XR kit.. Looks strange on mine side profile because it is so low. I like the bar it has now just needs a few little repairs.
Waiting on my new bonnet which hopefully should be finished soon with custom scoop.

I am just looking at doing something different with the grills.... Since I have had my car there are so many au's running around slowly getting more and more similar to my car. I think the 'teeth' would look mad electroplated or even colour anodised... Thinking about sticking the grill in the bottom and cutting one down to size to fit in the fog light holes just for something really different and to hide the cooler ;)

Will post some more pics as I have changed a few things around. But changing the other au's intake manifold to an ED on wednesday so we will see what happens. Might even stick the same into my car if we can get it mocked up and working :)

Have seen the eyelids look really good so thats why we used tape to try a few 'looks'. Might be painting it yet so unsure of what to do. Inside is almost finished just have to change the dash over to the black one and the front seats and get my roof lining redone and all sweet.

Then paint time! :)

The eyelids need to happen immediately. I've been trying to think of a way to do it, as my AU is black also. How???

Hmm, I think the eyelids make the car look sleepy.

Is the wing still for sale?

Why not fiberglass the eyelids (make them the way you want and either glue to guard or screw in?? Would require taking the whole guard off to replace them but that is easy as.

Thinking of having a play once I pull these guards off and put the new ones on (that are all bent thanks council and your road works that you said it is ok to travel at 80 :l)
But I have seen just vinyl.. or you could go with the carbon fiber sheeting and cut it out how you want. But one thing I would suggest is having super bright lights lost about half of mine with the duct tape so have some brights to go in if I end up doing it that way.
