Lowering that car should be first on your to do list.

Do it yourself and save money maybe? the rear springs are real easy and fronts are pretty strait forward if you have spring compressors and a good socket set.

What is XR about that exterior though?

Very nice anyway, 6 speed and climate control, premo sound... its got all the good bits :)

i was cruising thru carsales today and found quite a few and was thinking wtf too...

i googled it but couldnt find anything on them...

looks like a nice car, just a question, does that have a colour display? as i said before, i was on carsales and saw one and it had a big screen but didnt look like it was a colour one... as far as i knew, big screen meant colour screen, little screen meant meant non colour...
just wonderin

So I get 50% better economy out of this than my eb which is what I love most

But anywho still getting prices for things I can get it re-tinted for.200 through work B-) im thinking 1 or.2 shades darker than legal cause everyone knows white cars are mint with dark tint.

Comparing this to the 2010 work car a VE omega it is infinitely better and corners tons better where the VE feels like its nose heavy around corners, there is also more feel through the.steering and it actually needs traction control haha

It won't have a LSD. Defiantly go darker then legal with the tint if your game, mines got legal & its disappointing.

Nice car. 6spd's are the go. Transforms how they drive.

I was thinking that earlier because according to ford it has sports suspension allready so lows will.make it a rougher ride but not noticeably lower

With all them mods you've listed, I reckon you could do it all cheaper if you can do stuff for yourself and look around for parts... $1500 is a lot for a stereo, i guess you can pay $600 for a set of front splits etc but a lot of people probably wont hear the difference... can definitely get a stereo that will cause hearing damage for that money lol.

Exhaust could be done cheaper, maybe just stick with a cat-back and pay less than $250 for an exhaust? My mate used a XR-6 T exhaust (twin 2.25" pipes) on his N/A falcon and paid $150 including a cat for the whole lot + $60 for a custom pipe to make his cat attach to his manifold.. and it sounded good too.. maybe a little quiet on idle but a good note when you got up it.

Get a remote from the wreckers.

Look around for parts to lower your car with, I reckon that could be done cheaper too. I know someone who bagged his falcon for less using new parts :-P

Red leather wont suit in my opinion, unless you only meant you'd get them guys to do a custom job? They look pretty nice.

Custom job, black bolsters with charcoal centre and 'ES' embroided on them, that is what Im leaning towards just to change it up from all black

all the mechanical I can do myself

The remote is the cheaper part haha, but stereo is an overestimation

I could lower just replacing the springs but id rather do.things right with this car

Sounds intriguing because when I asked at ford they quoted just under 400ish just for a key supplied cut n code and said with a remote about 500

so both these parts brand new? How many buttons on the remote need a 4 button remote for this

thought i should update i ran this down the drags friday a week ago, in full street inc spare tyre and jack

got a best of 15.1 at 91 mph first run, no burnout. then pulled a 15.2 2nd run, 15.3 3rd and back to 15.2 last run.

not bad for a 190000km old engine and auto

Update time, I rebushed the entire front end with polyurethane bushes and replaced all ball joins and link pins because front lower arm bushes were rooted real bad, car feels so much better and more responsive now, but transmits a ton of road noise, so I turn the stereo up louder.

Also ended up fitting leds under the dash and under the front seats, as convenience lights, they're white not blue Image

They're wired via relay switched with interior light, with straight b+ through a 10A fuse, to a seperate switch to turn em on and off and through a dimmer, also have a bypass switch in place to turn them directly on and off without interior light on

hope you like it

Calm down, I haven't got the dimmer fitted in that photo, it's going to be slot more dull
