Hi guys, my names Mitch, I'm 17 and this is my 97 EL Wagon, i bought it off one of dads friends who used it for towing so its got raised leafs in the rear :( but planning to lower it once RWC is done. Its got a few minor scratches and bumps (one of them was caused by dad who backed the car into a pole) but otherwise the body is fairly straight. Lately iv'e been getting stuff done for RWC, this included things like new front rotors n pads, new tail light, an oil leak that came from the chain tensioner, the rest has been just minor stuff like bulbs ect. Don't have that many plans but i do want to lower it and im thinkin of getting EL XR6 rims.

So guys, Let me know what you think of the wagz

Welcome Mitch!

Definately a good base to start with. Just put some 2.5" blocks in the rear to keep it nice and level and enjoy it. FTR's will make it look a little bit better on the eye too!

I just realised mate, you should buy the EF dual intake that Jack has, its here at my joint, should only take 2 min to wack on and I'm pretty sure it'll flow alot better than whats on yours at the moment!

Sweet, bring it on sunday and ill have a look at it. Im also gonna grab some standard springs for the wagz while were at the wreckers, leafs at Imlachs are under $25 each which is good.

Looks like a clean base to start from mate....

The difference between EF and EL intake's isn't too much, but the EF intake still flow's better than an EL intake.... I'd just suggest 3" Chrome pipe from the airbox (using an EF upper airbox cover), to the throttlebody... Any decent exhaust shop should be able to make you up some...

A few good upgrades would be an EL XR cluster (oil pressure and battery charge guages), window tint, some EL XR alloys, lowered (either superlow front's and 2.5" blocks, or lows (xr height) and 1.5" blocks).

If you find XR leaf springs, grab them as they are reset a 1in lower from factory, and will help bring it down ;)

I've got the lowering blocks, I've got the standard springs and my mate has the front springs and shocks ready to go in. All im waiting on now is the RWC which I'll be getting either during this week or on the weekend, and then I'll be able to lower the Wagz. :)
