Gordo's EL Ghia

Hey,
I'm Gordon, and this is my first car. Bought in May this year with a genuine 101,850km's on the clock. Previous owner was elderly and had owned the car since near new. Bonus of this, the car has a full service/log book history with receipts. Am looking forward to meeting some people outside my mates who enjoy their Ford's and the occasional cruises. My mates don't go for the drives, and aren't into the cars as much as I am. Summer's coming, along with some nice weather!

Here are some photos of the car. I haven't done much to her yet, but everybody has their lists of things to do. Here goes.

very neat ride mate. Look after what looks like a prime example of an e-series

Thanks guys!

Plan's.... hmmmm, I've installed a cat back 2.5" exhaust

because the stock exhaust looked like this when I got it:

I've also built my own false floor for the boot. Made to accomodate my future stereo! :good:

Apart from that, I've thought about lowering the car with the stock wheels and maybe some white walls, and then some nicer larger rims a bit further down the track. Maybe 18"?

If it were my car, I'd probably just dump it. I reckon it would look sick just on them rims without white walls.

LTDHO isn't kidding either, has to be one of the best e series i've ever seen!

Just think about it, in 20 years time
and this car in this condition

What are your future plans?

Yea not sure yet, I've seen a few E-series' around, dumped on stock wheels and they look pretty mad. The obvious way to do it would be to lower it before whitewalls, so I'll see how I go.

Cheers man, it will sink in eventually how lucky I am, especially for the price I paid. Was originally only looking for Fairmont's with the grey interior. Was even going to settle for a '95 EF Fairmont with 190k's a month before this one showed up.

Future plan's, hmmm... For the car, keep her as long as I can. Just had her serviced for the 100.000km big one and threw a fair bit of money in to quality parts that will last because I want the car too as well. Knowing the stuff running the car is quality kit is good. Modification wise, tasteful mods (to my taste at least) that don't in any way shape or form 'molester' the car (IMO as well haha). The condition of the car can only stay or get better I reckon!

I'm thinking white walls, but I was talking to a mate whose dad owns a Bridgestone Select, and he said (IN SA atleast) its now illegal to have them etched into the sidewall because it weakens the tyre structure?
Boot install = great minds ;)
