Hi all,

Just discovered this forum by complete accident, but seeing as how I own a boosted Falcon I thought why not register and share my stock as a rock BF XR6T with you guys!!!

I only purchased it about 6 weeks ago and I'm loving it. For a standard car it has everything I want and enough grunt to embariss a few of the V8 Commo boys. Love it. As you can see its Bionic which is a colour that really stands out and was one of the reasons why I purchased this one in the first place. It had 104,000KM on the clock, Dual climate control, Premium sound, sunroof and nothing else thats exciting- yet.

Not sure what I want to do with it just yet. Was thinking a flash tune, cooler, Exhaust, pod filter, 19's and lowered 1-2 inches. Not sure if I want to go that far as I do love how it drives and rides at the moment ( it is the family car after all), plus by doing those mods I might up up devorced!! What do you guys think?

Heres a few pics from the day I got it:

Thanks. Yeah pretty happy with it. Was one of the cleanest I'd seen while looking for one. Funny thing is if you get up close it has little marks all over it but due to the colour of the car you don't really notice the touch ups on it. Its still better than the others I looked at though.

Has to go back to the dealer I bought it from though. Have a list of 25 odd faults with it and there are a few that are RWC items which have to be fixed. Not to happy with the way they've handled it it but at least it's getting fixed and the majority of the faults will be covered under warranty ( used car). Being used I don't expect it to be perfect, but when you've been promised something on the day you buy it and they haven't delivered on them for the day you pick it up, you get a little mad and dissappointed.

What are the issues?

Rear demister doesn't work, one of the lights is full of water, the rh fog light fell out, the rear bar extension had come loose, the front wheels need to be balanced, the steering wheel is down to the left, the boot fills with water when it rains, when the sunroof recall was done they didn't secure it properly, plus a few other minor issues. All this was meant to be done before I picked it up yet they weren't and and trying to get back in to get them fixed has been an pain. Hopefully get it all sorted soon though. Just a pain that they had the car for 2 weeks after I purchased it to fix these issues and never did and the night I picked it up I couldn't leave it as I no other way to get home.

Dealers are cunce.

Put everything in writing and try to record your phone calls with them.

Make them say their name on the phone too.

Great advice^^

Pretty much do this with anyone trying to fark you over.

BF looks mint BTW. Sux about all that shit.

Similar story - EL was 6 years old when I drove it home from a dealership. Epic long drive home after neoprene bushes collapsed and both wheels were turned inward. Got towed to the dealership and took 3 days to get it back.

I used to work at a caryard and if you want something done, YELL, SCREAM and THREATEN WITH ANY FORM OF LEGAL ACTIONS. Scares the living pants off them. Usually you get what you asked for and more. LMFAO.

Thanks for that. Yeah might be interested at the right price ;)
I'm in Melbourne near Mornington Peninsula. Where are you located?

Cars booked in next week to have all the faults looked at, plus I get a loan car for free overnight ( I start work at 5am so I can't get to the dealer in the morning but I can in the afternoon) which will get me out of trouble. I just hope the salesman makes good on his original promise for when I needed a loan car- he said he would put me in an F6!! That would be nice, but I think counting my chickens on that one!!
I'll keep you all informed of what happens anyway.

Just out of curiosity, is there a proper repair manual available for these models ( paperback) or are the ebay special CD ROM manuals the on ones out there? Plus are they any good?
I think I will have to do a search of the site before I ask anymore questions just in case they have already been answered in another thread. Don't want to step on anyones toes this early in the piece!! :epicfight:

Quick update. I took the car back to the dealer with a list of 25 faults/concerns with the car. You should have seen the look on the service managers face when I handed it to him and asked if it would be ready the next day!!
Anyway long story short I dropped it off Wednesday arvo and picked it up tonight. They sorted out almost everything on my list and it didn't cost me cent. So pretty happy. Only problem was they cleaned the car a put a heap of tyre shine on the Tyres!! Very slippery
