Hello from Cairns

Hey everybody,

I have a 92 EB with the full EB GT body kit on. It has superlow koni suspension, T5 box, multipoint head, pacemakers and 2 1/2 exhaust. It is currently in the garage where it will get a BA motor and 6 speed box, twin turbo, aftermarket computer (injectors, fuel pumps, etc, etc) and full respray. Along with that will be a full custom interior and stereo system. I will post up a couple of 'before' photo's when i learn how as i currently don't have the skills (any tips here would be greatly appreciated). This is a long term project for me and I will create a thread showing the build process once i get properly in to it. I am currently in the process of fixing the kit (skirts and bar were slightly damaged when i got it) and making it fit just right. If anyone can point me in the direction of any other cars on here with the same kit (EB & GT are too narrow for the search engine) that would also be muchly appreciated.

Gav

Welcome! By the sounds of things, you have a pretty ace car! How much is all that garage work supposed to set you back!?

Well she's good..but not that good. Got 2 small rust spots (think 10c and 20c pieces) but otherwise dead straight and has never been crashed. I knew the second owner who new the first owner (both ladies) so knew the history of the car. yeah got big $ plans for her and reckon it will cost around $30-40K all told (excluding my labour time of course) and take around 5 years to complete. My plans are for her to be 100% compliant with all ADR rules and regs so I can drive her at anytime I feel the urge.

Holy crap that's a lot of cash to chuck at an EB, much better spent than on a new car though. Welcome.

$30-40k!!??

You must really like that car.

Still, turning post-classic cars into racing machines is the go, you should DEFINITELY be pulling 300rwkw+ for that cash! Smoke them Holdens.

Like it? Love it! Going to fully detail the underside too, proper show standard stuff. thinking about trying to fit a BA-BF independent rear end in as well. As far as Kw go i am aiming for 400 at the treads. if a 3l skyline can do it a 4l ford can too.

Will do (attempt) the photobucket thing tonight or tomorrow.

My daily driver is a BA XR6

It's funny that both my falcons are red, I'm not really into red cars either! Both were just the right car for the right price. She will be apollo blue when it is all finishsed. Trying to come up with a project name and Blue Thunder (from the 80's movie and TV series about a super techno advanced attack helicopter) is the best i have come up with so far but am open to suggestions if anyone has a better idea.

nice ride mate, the rims are hot as off the xr, least i think so cos I got the same!! i reccomend konig unknowns though if you wanna change them, hottest rims IMO - racey yet not plain, blingy yet not rediculous.. i think 19" is the biggest they make in that.

tell us, does anyone know what model did the rear garnish come off? i wanna put it on my ea since its already coming off...

and yeh, welcome to the forums, sounds like you're gonna be one obese c*nt in about 5 years time from eating so many commodores..

nah mate, i will be kepeing it an i6. thought it might be a bit different t twin turbo one of those. snortperformance make a stage 5 kit that for the i6 that I am looking at getting when the time comes.

Definitely would be different. Good luck with your build mate, I hope it gets completed. My "buildup" (twin turbo EB 5.0) has been going on since 2004 & apart from a few minor changes to an otherwise stock car, all I've done is stockpile up a heap of parts while running my car into the ground through daily driving/negligence.

twin turbo 5.0 could get pretty exciting in the wet! I am a big fan of the whole sleeper thing and will have to check out your thread. I will no doubt ask a heap of questions when i actually get to the turbo install.

an n/a 5.0 gets pretty exciting in the wet :P

My thread isn't really worth viewing, hasn't been updated since last year...

Well there's plenty of people here to help you out with the BA six and boost, you've come to the right forums for that ;)

Cheers
