Boosted Falcon

I am new to this forum so I thought I would throw a shout out. My name is Shaun and I am from SA. I am eagerly awaiting for my new Falcon to be ready for me to pick up within the next couple of days and once it is ready I will try and get a couple of pics up.

Car is a 2005 BF XR6 Turbo in the colour Fantasy. It has all the XR6 extras like premium sound, fairmont dash clock and some weird seats in it which I have not seen before that I will take a picture of an upload when I get it.

She is going to stay fairly standard for a while until the warranty runs out on it as I looked into what breaks the warranty as Ford doesnt like upholding them as they can get extra money but as my mates dad is a salesman for them he told me all the ins and outs. Only thing I may change will be the rims. I am hoping to get either a BA F6 19" or Dark Argent 19" wheel but will see what happens.

How much warranty does a 7 year old car have?

Came with 3 month/5000 kms as standard but I paid an extra $1485 and got it extanded by 4 years and unlimited kms as my mates dad helped me out on it. So I now have 4 year and 3 month unlimited km warranty on it. If I modify anything what so ever then I start losing warranty. Only thing I am allowed to do is wheels. And I have to get it serviced through a log book service mechanic so I can not do it myself. But he is giving me a coupon book when I pick it up so I get cut price servicing.

Welcome to the forum, bummer about the warranty and not being able to do anything to the car though as long as your happy.

Yeh. I was going to do a few small mods like wheels, speakers (as they start popping when you pass 25 on the volume), and supposedly I can modify it some what if I get Ford to install the parts so when some funds come back I may chuck a better front mount on, a turbo back exhaust and then I might get one of those CAPA tuners. I was told if anything goes wrong just switch it back to Valet Tune on the CAPA tuner so factory boost gets restored as they will chuck a fit if I take it in on 10psi for a service or anything. But it might take me 12 months to get to that point but at least it goes alright for now. I will take some pics tomorrow and chuck them up.

Also, does anyone know if there are any SA Ford events or cruises coming up?
