i built this one 10 years ago, vortec V2S, 11psi boost, engine head ported, top end stud kit, fully built auto & stallie gunmetal XR6 with polished B45 Simmons.

the car ran 13.8 @ 103mph nomatter where you took it with a 60ft of 1.7...... not slow....

was a great set up with a sweet blower whine, smoked HSV's like they were nothing!!!!

Do you still own this???

If so why dont you put it on LPG with a GRA system???

i needed a ute and found a guy who swapped me this for 2 XG utes, one an XR6 the other an S manual, both good cars..... just the way it turned out

the EF i bought with 11,000klm on it 3 years old and fitted the blower at 121,000klm, drove it to 210,000klm and then let it go. great car, really great car, used to get 650klm to a tank too with swiftish driving, i wish i never traded it...

the guy i sold it to still has it, he loves the grunt and everyday driveability of it.

I don't get whats so spectacular?

for 10 years ago its cool, wasnt many boosted EL's around

but its an EL with a mild motor + vortech?

his current car is more win

Ive always liked the idea of a EF/EL XR6 S/C for a daily driver... add the lpg as well!!!

I think the inspiration came the the Ford prototype that they did in the goldish colour and recaro interior S/C on LPG...
