When you put a turbo on your V8 the boys with the big intercoolers stop telling you how fast their cars are.

NUT347 i spent most of the afternoon here reading your project. Tweecer working well holding off fitting maf til ive got injectors and before both of these i have to strip it all off and relocate the o2's to a more appropriate place. Totally enjoying a car that doesnt detonate every time i hit the pedal past part throttle for now.

Misk the foxes weigh in light around 1270kg from memory a lot less than a falcon or earlier mustang. They have excelent rearward weight transfer when ever you hit the loud pedal, and yes it is fun and attracts its fair share of attention.

Bob, thanx already read most of nut347's build thread and will work my way through as i have time.

EFFalcon thanx, i will do a build thread once i figure out how to add pix etc.

Sleeper Mustang! sick! How does it go non intercooled? Hopefully you've got water/meth injection?? Keen to see some details on your setup :)

1270kg  Fark I wish Falcons were that light! It would be fun N/A let alone turbo.

Also have a look at a J3 chip as far as tuning goes for your EB..

Thanx Parfrey. This for me is a step by step project so that i fully understand the difference and value of each part of the process. I ran v8's early in my life and went to rotaries in the middle and now back to v8's.
Currently running 5# boost on 91 fuel with blow through non intercooled and nothing more. I added a tweecer last week and have it running way better than just with the timing backed off to reduce detonation.
The turbo kit i used wasnt made well and with reading up on the tuning i realised that the 2 o2 sensors together in the 1 pipe wasnt going to do it. Doesnt help that even though they havent moved ( same place on car ) they are effectively sitting half way down the exhaust since the addition of the turbo plumbing. Next step is to remove kit and add fittings to get the o2's in the right place and then wideband for fine tuning. While ive got it apart ill probably add the intercooler and replace the remaining old sensors with new ones.

Sounds good mate!

To be honest though I wouldn't be driving it without a wideband, a slightly wrong AFR will shorten the life of your motor drimaticly.

What have you got your timing on at the moment?

Its all good i kinda know what im doing even though it will often sound like im a dim wit. Ive been driving this since xmas. The timing is set factory 10 and tuned from there. I have 35 at cruise and it backs off to 20 at WOT. I running one bank kinda fine and one rich due to having replaced one of the 02's when i put the turbo on its thread was buggered. The o2 readings are confirmed by the kam readings with one just under and one just over. I have fueling upped for wot so it always runs rich up there and i relaly cant do any fine tuning via a wideband before i correct the o2 placement which is a ful strip down. i cant see any way of doing it in place without risking stuff going through the turbo though i have been thinking i might get away with just pulling the cross over and blowing it out there :) Sometimes i hate working smarter casue it means you have to do it right instead of taking the shortcuts :(.

Looks like with that host site you need to use the URL of the image, not the page it's on.

Thanx Bipolar, i have already signed up with the one that works as per the instructions.

I have a few mates with nissan turbos and the over sized intercoolers and they kept on telling me how fast their cars were. When the mustang emerged from the garage after xmas with the turbo on it, they just stopped going on about how fast their cars were. The mustang wasnt that much quicker than it was before the turbo, but the intimidation effect was very obvious. Thats where the signature came from :)
