Hi Guys. Been a member for quite a while but haven't said hi!
My car is a 98 EL Ghia.
EL GT copys
King SL's
Monroe GT's
Lukey extractors, 200 cell Cat, 2.5 Cat back with twin tips
Nice AV system
Rolled front guards (Phat)
Picked it up stock in Adelaide about 18 months ago with 135,000kms. I'd love to do a hell of alot more with it but need $$

I'm automatically going to like it because it's Oxford.
I'm going to like it even more because it's fucken mint.
But I'm going to hate you for reminding me that mine still exists and that I need to do something with it.

Thanks Guys. Oxford is an awesome colour. I love that it's pretty rare.
superhuS!I love your car!
It pretty much matches my wishlist.
Momo wheel
XR front
Ticky kit
Manual
JMM gear
Etc etc........
I had JMM Dev 4 on my ED XR Poly green manual and was getting 160rkw.
Long long way away from getting there again!

Some of the later '98 EL's were hybrids and had parts of AU running gear in them, I believe AU heads and cams etc making circa 150rwkw with extractors & exhaust.

Yeah have heard this. Not sure how to tell though.

Check the head. The casting numbers on the head should tell you if it's au hybrid.

If you want hybrid they are small numbers along the ridge of the head

Or you can have 94EB or 95AA or whatnot in big letter casing

It's the 96DT May 98 built.
Definitely hybrid. So this means stronger block right?

Think it was just different head and valve train. Could be stronger block

Does anyone know if this is also the better head gasket?
As far as I know it hasn't gone yet at 170k.
Or was this not sorted till AU II?
