Hey guys.
Im 16 and got my first car, my Ford Falcon AU 1999 XR6.
Its all stock right now, but what will go in it is a pod air filter, and a 2.5" catback with a nice exhaust tip.
I really like it, it is 5 Speed Manual, and I also hardly EVER see black with red stripes and the double spoiler etc, its also ALL Factory Tickford
and only under 150,000 Kilometres. Is this certain model rare? It is ALL stock.
I always lurk around these forums i have gone through every single thread and read everything as I love this kind of stuff
I have noticed you guys dont really like AU's which really suprises me because I really love mine and makes me upset
but I have to learn that I shouldnt ALWAYS worry about what other people think, I really love this forum and would LOVE to keep posting and being
an active member, I also LOVE seeing all your cars and progress'. Take it easy on me guys!
Also they're really shit photos but im going to get better ones its just getting some cosmetic things done at the mechanic right now.

I REALLY, REALLY hope you like it guys, I would love your opinions. Thank you ALL

Your words: "I have noticed you guys dont really like AU's"
Hey khodeer. 1 word describes AU (Ford New Edge) styling. That word is Ugly.
However, 2 words describe your Baby. "FUCKING BEAUTIFUL!!!"
Love it man. Love it!

Guys I really really want to lower my car but I dont want to have any driving issues on driveways and speed humps etc, can someone tell me which king springs I should purchase which will look good and not scrape anything? I will drive careful. And if it is possible will someone be able to photoshop my car lowered? Thanks!
Thanks in advance

Superlows should do the job, unless you're driving up some serious driveways
EA S Resprayed, Boot lip, Lowered, ED Ghia interior and Dash, Pacey Comps, Magnaflow Cat, 2.5 inch cat back, BBM and Thermo Fan conversion, Manual conversion with more to come :)

agreed with easjake, Superlows are good, just make sure to get short travel shocks for the rear, so the spring can be most effective. I would forgo the pod filter in favour of a K&N panel filter, much better for the engine longevity and RWC issues too (in Vic anyway).

Thanks guys :)
And yes I did ditch the pod filter and got a high air flow panel filter.
Apparently the superlows give a shitty ride though, the 'lows' give a better ride
I also want a good nice ride

I've got ultralows and Koni reds set to the firmest in my ED, I find the ride better than standard XR suspension.. Doesn't bounce around after a bump and feels nice and solid around a corner... Get decent shocks and the springs will be ok..
2013 SR5 Hilux 5 speed, mostly stock....
93 ED XR6- 5 speed, ultralows, koni reds, FTRs, LSD, leather seats, 4499 paceys, 2.5" exhaust, gutted cat, doof doof sound system, XH snorkel, MOMO wheel..SOLD (sadface)

I agree with XHBrad there, decent shocks make all the difference, I had Monroe in my Fairmont with sl springs, and the ride was shitful. In my ED I had lows but had KYB shocks and they were awesome in comparison, even cruising was nicer. Shocks play a big part in the ride

Keen to see these photo's. I've always been one of the odd ones out and liked the au's. Especially the xr models :D

Glad to see you got shocks too. I'm currently in the process of replacing my shocks, as I'm over the shitty ride that just springs gave me.

One thing I would suggest is that you ditch that oversized spoiler and get a little bobtail one. http://www.spoilershop.com.au/store/ima ... OBTAIL.jpg
Just personal opinion but I really like the look of them. Plus it would be very easy to change back to the original spoiler when you want to sell the car.

Thanks for your comments!
I will definately take your opinion into consideration but to be honest
I really like the bi-plane one it came out stock with as it just syncs in with everything
and keeps the somewhat 'rare' S1 look. Maybe in time though haha
cheers :drinks2:

I reckon stick with the spoiler. You don't see many of them running around with those spoilers anymore gives it a unique look :)
CRUISER: 2002 AU Series 3 XR8 220 Auto in blueprint Tickford Options include Blue Momo Sports Steering wheel. Mods MSD Coil Packs and twin 2.5 Inch Exhaust (I believe its standard) and Extractors.

DAILY: 1999 Toyota Starlet 4 door manual in red.
