New EF Fairmont owner
Posted: July 2nd, 2014, 3:00 pmHey everyone, picked up a 95 Fairmont a couple of weeks ago for a daily to replace my 'cough cough' Excel. So it's green, a stocker and in pretty reasonable condition. Already fixed up a couple of things, power steering switch leaking, gave the auto gbox a service as it was slipping a bit when cold, goes good now. Still have a few things to do like fix the saggy roof lining, and the drivers side power window will go down but not up unless you hit the central locking remote.
It's the first ford 6 I've owned and I'm happy so far with it. Having owned turbo rotaries in the past the urge for boost is there and I'm loving reading up about the results these cars are getting with a snail added. Which now has me wanting an xr6 to build up. Either an EF,EL or AU. Any reasons I should choose one model over the other for a turbo project?
