Hi all,

My name is Bill. Up until recently I was the proud owner of a 1993 Ford Fairmont. It was virtually stock, with the only modifications being the LSD and the gas system. The car had run 149,000km with the car being given a good one over mechanically two Fridays ago.

The bad news is, last Monday morning on my way to TAFE, some idiot tried to turn into a street from the opposite side of the road (he was turning right and i was going straight) and unfortunately collected his rear left quarter. The damage bill is so extensive that as much as I would like to keep the car, its just not feasible.

I would like on some opinions on how much the car is worth, minus the gas system, wheels and cd player. The car is mechanically sound and the interior is in mint condition, with the driver side door trim being the only part showing slight signs of age. The car was a very honest car. It kills me to see it the way it is after the amount of effort I put into keeping the car in mint condition.

The car will be up for sale the moment all insurance issues are sorted.

Thanks for your time
Bill :(

Welcome Bill. Looks like it was a pretty tidy EB before the smash.

All the best.

Probably not what you want to hear, but its not going to be worth very much at all. Unfortunately at the end of the day they are a very common car and unless you have a model that has some sought-after parts (Tickford, Ghia, etc) they aren't worth all that much as a wreck.
