New ED.

Postby Daniel88 » October 31st, 2008, 8:54 pm

Hey everyone, just picked up a 1993 ED Falcon for $1100. nothing flash yet. I have clear indicaors and sport's Altezza lights coming for it. I put the Kenwood CD Player into it (Was in the Ea). And i'm trying to pay off some mags called "Jet Chrome" from Beaurepairs :P
Here's a pic of My Ea, Dad's Eb and my ED..(Sorry about quality)

Welcome to the club mate, I personally wouldn't go the altezza real lights on an ED, they look too out of place, but go straight for the clear indicators.

Thats not too bad, I dunno what all the fuss is about them. I reckon if you colour coded that black strip between the lights, to the same colour as your car, it would make it look tops. Anyone be able to photoshop that up for us?

Heres a crap job i did using paint lol.

Your right that would'nt look bad!! See that little cream line in bumper? Would that look better in the car colour or the red to go with badges background and reflectors on light?

Without a doubt, I would have to say red. IMO it would colour coded would look a little strange. Thats just my opinion though, remember it's your car, do what you think looks good. Remember it's your pride and joy, and everyone has different tastes. I have had people tell me to my face that my car looks $hit, and sure that hurt a little, but I love my car to death and I'll build it how I want. As for those pink brake lights, If the bulbs are coloured, just go buy some "true" red ones. Mate what part of QLD are ya from? No offence, but it looks like the sticks lol.

nice looking EB, as pete said loose the clearies, personally i dont rekon clear rear indicators dont suite any E series. If your looking for something different on the rear end buy a fairmont garnish and tint the whole lot, heard window tint works well comes up glossy. Reguardless its a nice clean car to start with, good luck.

Hi all, Quick question.. I bought an Exhaust tip for the car, but the exhaust start's to bend to early. So the tip won't go on. Can a exhaust shop put it on?

Nice car mate she looks clean.

I was gonna get those lights and spray mine white with a red line through the garnish but decided not too.

I like those lights though and the blue looks mad on the back.

What you got lined up for her ?

Due to my red Ea Falcon missing half it's part's, Most my money is going into that! Out here it cost's $232.80 for 12 slack Adjusters! once red car is out of the way, i can finish my blue car. Start by: Putting sport's exhaust on it, eventualy getting it lowered, (can't go to low being out here) :? then replace front left panel becaue it has hail damage. then get it respraid same colour.
