I've been lurking around here for a over a year, so I thought I better introduce myself and post some pics of my Ghia. Its a 1996 EF series 2 in Cardinal Red, running on LPG/petrol. I bought it from an old man and his wife with 172000Ks on it, (it now has 217000Ks) I bought it 3 years ago for my then girlfriend (now fiance) to drive instead of her CRV. She never forgave me for talking her into driving a sedan instead of a 4WD (she says she likes sitting up high as she can see better), so last October I got her a Land Rover Discovery V8 and put it on gas.
In the meantime I sold my XG XR6 ute, so I drove the Ghia to work. I tired to sell the Ghia, but I didn't get any reasonable offers, and in the meantime I became quite attached to it. I decided to keep it as my driver as I live North of the River and work South of the River. Its a pretty comfy car for the 90 min round trip.
Plans are to do some over due maintenance that needs to be done. First up a new gearbox, as the one in it is slipping badly, then an air cond re-gas.
When these are sorted I want to do some subtle mods. The plan is a stylish daily, as in my job I can't drive anything too "Hoonish" (if there is such a word).
EL Fairmont Ghia grill and side mould/bumper chrome
Fairlane lights in bumper
15% Window Tint
19 inch GT-P rims
Lowered
Fit the 2 12 inch subs, 2 sets of splits and amps that are sitting under my bed waiting to be fitted
The plan is something similar to this (hope its ok to use these pics)

The motor is still strong so I am in no rush to replace it. However, I do plan to replace it with a BA DOHC turbo motor in the future. There are a few here and on fordmods that I am following. Heres some pic's. Sorry they are so bright, but its pretty hard to avoid bright sunlight in Perth in summer.
