Hi all! another newbie haha

hey guys, im and 18 y.o from melbourne..
picked up a manual ea falcon s earlier this year.. it is mint green, faded on the bonnet and a lil on the roof, also got some damage to the right
lowered and thats about it..
looking for some tips on things to do i.e performance and looks. also, got a couple questions.

1. ive heard au engines will fit? how would i put one in and then what do i do extractors etc. wise??

2. thinking about putting in electric windows.. if i just go to the wreckers and take out the motors and all the inside of the door and window parts from the gli or which ever one it is that elec windows, will that work??

1.Your best bet would be to do a search of this site, plenty of people have put the AU motors in, so there's heaps of info

2. Apparently the electric window conversion is easy (although I didn't bother) but there was a tutorial floating around somewhere detailing what you need from the wreckers, and how to put it all in. Maybe someone else here may have the tutorial handy?

Mini Spool is a personal choice IMO. Some people swear by them (Mainly for skids and launching) others will say its not daily drivable. They are also not roadworthy like that (Mind you who really cares?!)
If you are driving in the inner city *I* wouldn't recommend it as it draws a fair bit of attention to you every tight corner you take. You will also start to wear out the trailing arm bushes as the diff gets pushed/pulled sideways alot more with every corner you take.
You can also get a "Lokka" which can lock under certain amounts of power and effectively have a locked diff when you need it, but they are a bit more expensive...

Mini-spools are only for those people that society consider hoons. Unless you pop the clutch every chance you get, and love to slide all over the road, I wouldn't bother. They're more suited to the type of person that thinks it's appropriate to pull hand brake entries into your own driveway every night after work. That said, I have one and I love it...

If it's your first car, then I probably wouldn't go with a minispool straight up, they can be dangerous for the inexperienced, and a shitty LSD would be better suited to your needs.
