Hey mate, welcome to the site.
you will find most of us are a fairly nice bunch

Should start by posting up some photos of your xr, sounds like a good starting base.
got any mods in store?

firstly the nanna shade on the rear window was the first thing to come off the car when i picked it up. haha (in pic 2)
at the moment im at uni so cash is something i dont hav a lot of so im just looking at a nice set of rims just want something bigger.
but something i really want is to turbo it so i can get the falcon to beat my cocky mate who has a 5.7 ss who thinks his car smokes everything so that will b the aim eventually.

Ahhh the age old question of ford vs holden. Even if his car is faster than yours you still win because he is driving a commodore and you are driving a falcon

yes but would still love for it to be quicker...
any suggestions on cheap mods im open to any suggestions as the car is pretty much 100% stock rear box is missing off the muffler which gives it a bit of noise but its still just a stock exhaust system. any suggestions on what to change to make it look better wheels etc...

no it is not a manual sigh.
but was the right price and what liked so i just bought the car anyway.
would love to convert it bit would rather do other stuff at this stage.
what is a good price to pay for extractors?
i dont really know that much about modifying the engine lol most of my mates can help me but they all drive commodores haha

keep an eye on the forums for extractors.
people are always selling things.

If you ever crash it or do any dis-tasteful mods I will personally kick you in the shins and poke you in the eyes.
Look after it, it wont let you down.
Other than that threat, Enjoy the thing it's great fun

i would kill my self if i prang it lol i really like the car so far hasnt had a single problem so far has just clicked on 200 thousand so hopefully it will do another 200.
are manual xr6 ecu becoming rare now tho as most people are trying to convert there autos to manual?
i seriously wonder why people who bought these cars new paid an extra 2 or 2500 grand for an auto when manual was standard.

cool well if i can find all the bits i will def look into the conversion. I think i want rims first tho does anyone think that the bf typhoon dark argent rims would look silly on my car as i think i want to get a set of those. In copies because of the offset difference.

yeah those mags would look nice... i love e series. u look in a hot 4s mag or similar and those cars have like hundreds of thousands of follars spent on big shiny bodykits and paint mags and all of the junk. on a e series u lower it and put mags on it and it looks awesome

Mint ride! All it needs is about a foot taken off the ride height and its done!
Cam, extractors, 5spd or boost for under the bonnet.

Nice rides mate.
should deffinently go with a manual conversion mate.
People i swapped my commy for my current ea have a eb fairmont and all they did is advance the timing and changed there diff to lsd added a 5speed with a button clutch and they smash all the 5litre vn-vt's in my area.
Manual would give it a huge difference and if you do a full exhuast and a cam and chip it would probably even give your mate a good run.
Is his manual or auto ?
