Loss of Posts - 2/3/2013

Hey Guys,

Looks like we had a Data corruption issue on the main post table which resulted in me having to restore from backup.

the end result being that any posts made after ~3am on the 2nd March 2013 will be gone.

If anyone notices any other issues, let me know.
It should only affect posts, PM's etc should have been fine.

now i need some sleep

PS - the new posts feature will be a bit iffy until actual new posts catch up.

Its captured that the thread was updated, but the underlying detail is gone.

i thought somthing iffy had happened,before i left for work there was some new posts,checked at about 1 am and couldnt see them any more.that expains it.i thought it was a prob on my end.doh.

Forums have been kinda slow lately too. I can't talk though, I don't no shit about how this all works. I can fix your 4 litre though

Yeah I have got error/crash messages a few times using Tapatalk

i have daily backups... the issue was the last backup was @ 3am.

the table got corrupted some time around 6 or 7pm.

i didnt get a chance to get on and fix it until about 10pm, and by the time i edited the SQL script it was even later.

I didnt want to do a full database restore, as i didnt want people to lose any recent PM's.

so i restored a handful of tables, it was just that the corrupted table was the biggest one so it took a while.

no lost posts that i'm aware of.

if you see any error messages or anything like that, get a screen shot and shoot it to me, or capture the error message.
i've noticed it being a little slow, but no errors or other issues since the 2nd.
