ea conversion

Postby mark069 » January 8th, 2010, 10:08 pm

Can anyone help with a conversion on my brothers EA prototype v8
He has bought this car as a prototype V8 before FORD released the EB
The wiring loom was hacked into from America, l think it has a fuel injected Mustang motor in it.
The loom was burnt out and now l have installed an EF V8 wiring loom in it
It looks like l will have to replace the whole loom from front to back
After reading another document they had to cut and shut other looms
The EA never had ABS or Air bags or anything else like that
Can l leave all of these sought of things disconnected or will l have to go and find every thing and try and wire it all up.
l have wired up as much as l can on the engine but there are still a hell of a lot of plugs free which i would not have a clue what they are for
The dash want plug in because it is a more modern loom
Looks like l will have to replace the whole interior.

i just thought it was a big job converting it all over instead of just grabbing an EB loom. oh well.

even an aftermarket ECU would have been better
