Postby mad_keen » January 14th, 2010, 7:05 pm

was just on xfalcon and they hav threads for each model x-series where u post pics only no bullshit talking. i think it would be a good idea to hav on this sight. just to browse through cars without having to read life stories and opinions on everything.

Scared of what?

People only lock their threads on xfalcon because they dont want criticism. I reckon if you dont want to be criticised stay off this forum.

yer but they arnt the best pics. wouldnt it be so much easier if everyone uploaded their own pics into it? less work and there would be a bigger and better range of cars.

we've avoided a large gallery for the simple purpose of bandwidth and server space.

we run without sponsorship/donations so we try and run lean.
user submitted galleries can also end up being full of junk.

the fordmods one for example.

however, a thread placed in the showroom for pics of peoples cars or others (split by model) could work.
theres no way to stop random chit chat though apart from manually moderating it.

Manually moderating all chit chat out of a thread sounds like a good idea?

banning people who chat in there sounds like a better idea.

Specific T&C rules for that kind of thing should be able to eliminate chit chat 1 warning then Ban.

Would that mean that nearly all of what is in the "showroom" thread would be moved to the "In The Build" thread.
I have something in the "Showroom" that really should be in the "In The Build" I suppose.
Sounds a good idea!
