I just had something sent to my email this morning from the same place that was advertisng on a few of our threads .
Are we deleting them off here and is there anything in place to stop them jumping on here .

I so hate these spam things

Seems to be more these days. Are they getting around that special code you need to put in to register?

When the registration system was broken i did a big update.
it removed the sign up question.
a number of accounts were created in this period (including the spammer from this morning)

i re-added the sign up question and it should hopefully resolve things.
If we do get more, just check when the user signed up.
if it was before the 3rd of march then it was before i put the question back in place.

Ill send john the email that i got to home email tonight . A few people may have got it too .

Seems programs these days seem to be able to get around them.
Couple of other forums im on have been getting it lately too

I banned that one this morning but cbf deleting each thread individually. I figured you would just delete his account with 1 click.

just delete the email, theres nothing i can do about that.

the question we put in place 2 years ago was working, the only reason they're getting past is because the question wasnt in place.
