Is it just my computer, but random words in both mine and others posts and sigs and are now a shortcut to some iphone ad....

id say you have a virus of some sort.
is it words that are normally linked, or words that have now randomly turned into a link?

Yeah, it'll be adware or something.
possibly come up in your browser addons/plugins

Normally appeared on words that weren't linked.
Dam, its the misses laptop, she can deal with it...

http://www.safer-networking.org/en/download/), its the best hassle free spybot/adware fuckerofferer and gets rid of these kind of adware viruses - including the google virus which redirects you to random advertisement websites whenever you click on any google search result.
