Power steering pump leaking on au Fairmont ghia
Posted: September 6th, 2015, 3:53 pmHi guys just looking for a bit of help, Bought this car with this problem, I'm thinking a new high pressure hose will fix the leak?? Or should I just change the orings in the original hose ? Is it hard to do? Is it worth spending the 120 dollars for one of them redesigned hoses?
Honestly I'd rather spend less and just replace the orings in the stock hose, but I don't know the procedure and I've read that it's very hard.
Also I've heard that the power steering fluid leaking on the alternator causes it to break, atm the alternator is covered in power steering fluid but is still working, how should I go about cleaning it ? (Probably not a good idea to spray it with degreaser... Right?)
