Comedy Goldmine sub-forum

Postby Commando » April 16th, 2008, 9:26 am

Oi,

With regard to the lollage that occurs on here & the amount of forum traffic, it's easy to lose old threads containing hilarity. When one has run its course (such as bunna_07's "fastest car you now for $10k" thread), maybe it can be transferred to a new Comedy Goldmine subforum? Either in E-Series or the hidden section :D

It wasnt funny. How would you feel if you were E bullied so much that you had to delete your own account.

I feel sorry for the poor kid.

Account deleted? L-O-L! The little knt brought it on himself though, suggesting senior members have severe mental impairments (for merely pointing out an errror... RWKW figure for an AWD car for example) or suffer from sexual inadequacies won't get a junior member very far on the site...

Anyway, will we be getting a Comedy Goldmine subforum by any chance? :D

Thats not bullying, thats just asking questions.

A pool room section might be worthwhile. I dunno how to set them up without breaking things though. John will have to do it.

Well, I was thinking of maybe a subforum for hilarity threads that are "over/finished" (ie, nothing more will happen in that bunna_07 thread since he's left, any other responses in there will be flogging a dead horse). So when an awesome thread has run its course, it is "preserved" by being moved to a "Comedy Goldmine" subforum so that it's not lost in the mountain of other normal (non-funny everyday) threads, & perhaps locked?

http://www.somethingawful.com has this setup, works well for them :)

*EDIT* "how to delete/Vicfords vs The World" is another that comes to mind :P Obviously the subforum would have few threads in it because selected/nominated threads have to be something pretty special to make their way in the Comedy Goldmine ;)

FFS. The replies in this thread are kind of pointing out why a lot of people aren't in the hidden section. Think about it ;)

Going off-topic is one thing. Off-topic c-r-a-p however...
