I have tried to get the notification thing to send directly to my email when i get stuff. However it doesnt work
I was wondering if i was doing anything wrong .

Also after a msg if i dont press board index i have to always put my password in again

When you log in, do you check the "remember my password" button?

As for notifications, in the control panel open the board preferences tab, then edit your global settings, in particular:

Notify me on new private messages: Yes No
Pop up window on new private message: Yes No

Down the bottom-left of each page there's a "Subscribe topic" link.
