Powercruise WA 2009

Postby nothin suss » October 11th, 2009, 4:07 pm

Was in WA for the past week, luckily i happened to be near Perth yesterday :)

If any of the WA guys want some more pics of their rides i have some higher-res ones.
Its only 2pm over there, boys are probably out still tearing it up!

A few happy snaps of some Falcon action:

ED40 looks a little under the weather though :(

Look at your car. Now back to mine. Now back to yours. Now back to mine. Sadly, yours isn't mine. But if you stopped buying dodgy cars and bought an ED, yours could be like mine. Look down. Back up. Where are you? ...You're on BoostedFalcon, reading the signature your signature could be like! Anything is possible when your car looks like my car... I'm on a computer.

Yeh should have, was only there for a bit, just rushed about, took some snaps, and had to get back to perth!

Was suprised how casual the whole setup was. Camping wherever it seemed, cars just parked anywhere around the field. Good turnout tho.
Some nice cars for sure, i missed the 'half hour of power' tho :( Did Chris Biddle bring out his Silver HG Belmont?

Was in WA for a week and didn't see/hear any advertisments for the event. Not even a sign. Wasn't even a 'Powercruise' sign out the front!
No-one in Perth knew what i was talking about when i mentioned it.

We just drove towards the general direction from Perth hoping to see some signage. Nothing.. Was a prick to find! Didn't even see a Barbagello Raceway sign.

And on the WA topic, how come everyone sounds like Kiwis over there?
I was in Perth for a day, drove to Kalgoorlie for a few. Then to Esperance, Albany and back to Perth. I knew alot of New Zealand folk have moved there for work but after a few days i realised everybody sounds the same! Its just the WA accent!

+1

Not a bad steerer I reckon :)

I was planning on visiting WA some time in the first half of next year, but if you all sound like bloody new zulunders I might have to immediately regret that decision :P

That is a good shot. At PC in QLD there is standing room only, how many cars entered?
