I think they've just stopped vicdrift events there. They have stopped it at because they didnt have enough interest in the events. I dont know much about it i'm going to winton because my mate is driving in it and apparantly if they dont get the numbers here then they'll stop it here as well.

The issue with Drifting at Calder is they lost money last time, but that was there fault, around 8 cars come down from Albury/Wodonga and they were there at 8am and no one else was, and when Vicdrift didnt chase up money off the people that were there, and a fair few people went home.

Plus calder got the shits about people "wreaking" the grass.

Winton is good, they get a much better turn out and a good track, at least 100 or so people head down for the drifts there when its on from Albury (Competitors and what not)

But ill be in melb.

yeah im pretty peeved i wont be making it down to Winton today... Damn work! Damn friends Bday BBQ! the world is against me n drifting lol

to add to Frost's comments above. Winton will be taking over all organisation of VicDrift events including the day itself, advertisement and so. and if Winton looses money say bye bye to Drifting in Vic for a while while some new tracks are sourced. check out http://www.vicdrift.com for more detail.

Was a great day yesterday. They had just over 90 entrants a quite a few spectators. I'll chuck up some pics and vids either later today or tomorrow.

Nah mate no defect stations unless if was after i left. Saw 1 cop car half way back on the way home. Lights on, side of the road, message on his roof saying "drive safe" or something. Could see him from ages away.

Nice video. :D

That's Stormy's XE! You're right, he ran a 14 flat with heaps of traction issues and a baby cam. I've been for a few laps around Calder in it. Absolutely insane fun! Easily the best driver I've been in the car with.

And James' (OPLESE) EB runs a 6 TB setup now, I'm not 100% sure if it's been tuned properly yet. At the Nizpro dyno day it was still running a pretty rough tune.

my mechanic mate is good friends with the white xe dude and yeah apparently he can drive so damn good.

insane hand brake turns and stuff he is great

E-Series drift day? :D
They shall plant vineyards and drink the wine of them. And they shall build their lay cities and live in them
And they shall also make gardens and eat the fruit of them. And I will plant them upon their land, which I have given them
And the mountains shall drop sweet wine and the hills shall melt.

Damn straight. With drift prac. days once a month, a strong local comp (50+ cars at the last round of G1) and home to the most D.A teams (Wheelworx, CTS, Senwill Civil, Japanese motorsport). Mallala seem to support drifting to an extent aswell, bar the damn tire barriers at turn 1.
