WGAF what the dyno printout says really... It managed a 12.9 in a manual on street tyres... a very decent factory time....

Be interesting to see if it fits at all...IIRC FG K-frame has a front rack which means the sumps are round the wrong way. You'd have to get a custom sump made or fit a whole FG K-frame and front suspension in to make it work I think. Funnily enough, I reckon it would be easier to fit an FG K-frame than anything AU-BF, looks like it's just held on by 4 bolts, the same as e-series.

Just an example of tuners exaggerating to their prospective customers! They probably get 380rwkw out of an FG XR6T without changing the turbo too! Wankers!

If you signed up to performance forums and read the thread, the response to the initial dyno was exactly that - everyone said get fucked.

Dales specific words were "bet it dosen't make 353rwkw on my dyno lol" so they took it to his workshop for the specific purpose of proving the other dyno wrong. Technically, they did, because the car only ran 328rwkw on his dyno....but it still made 328rwkw, which is a fanciful ~2% drivetrain loss of the claimed 335 flywheel kw, and a mega shitload of power for an apparently stock production falcon.

I'm also unsure as to why the tuners would exaggerate the dyno readings of a stock car, because that would mean the difference in the before and after dynos would not be as great, which would make them look less good than a massive difference in before/after.

i still think the show room model that you can by from ford won't make the same figures....

but won't be complaining if they do

agree with with rollin on tuners not lying about rwkw figures in this case

Exactly. PF dudes have very, very sensitive bullshit meters. That's also why he pulled the tune, so he can compare it to the showroom version when somebody brings one in.

I agree with sk8n6 though, the showroom cars might not have as much power as this particular one, but this particular one definitely has the beans.

Remember when the XR6 Turbo was new and everyone was blown away by how good they were, and then after a while the cars went in for their first "genuine Ford service" and everyone started to wonder where all the power went?

at the ford dealership i work at in melbourne they have about 3 new GT's + 2 GS Sedans and a GS ute, aparently all the sedans were sold months before they were due to be shipped to us, but they will sit in the showroom for a couple of weeks i think. also the utes dont have the louder exhaust (bi modal?) only the sedans do, so i was abit dissapointed when i got to drive the ute around at work it did not have the real loud v8 sound but the GT's ive been told have a sound volume similar to the Merc/AMG C63.

would it have been cheaper to do it to a XR6T when they initially came out though? Didnt the BA XR6Ts take
a while to crack (ie flash tune properly)? Ive got an article somewhere explaining how difficult tuners found
it initially....

Overall ford owners now seem spoilt for choice when buying new performance cars... XR6T & Blown
5L.... either way you're in for a good time....

Mate took me for a ride in his new blown 5L GT before he got t-boned while stopped at the lights; went
bullshit hard for a stocker... the blower whine was unreal... not OTT but still sounded killer.....
