What's to be concerned about,it's a drag car running 37 psi. Blow by is standard on a 4litre isn't it.

pretty much most drag cars have blow by, just how it is with 1300hp ;0

i think it looks worse in the video cause it was a cool evening on the dyno and running e85 makes it look like steam.
only videos you can compare to, are burnout car ones which do similar.
its my engine and im not conserned, just have to expect knockers no matter what i do, got the runs on the board thought :)

thanks michael, yep you find peolpe claim ive got the fastest street trim car, they drop an exhaust, take out the spare wheel or change fuel at the track.
like they set their own bar or class so they are the only one in it.
my car is all about sticking it up the nissanadore girls in the shit heap vls and going as fast as it can with no bs, im not running or using anything that no one else has access too :)

I'm not a "knocker", I've just never seen it like that. Maybe other cars dodge it up with a hose leading under the car so you can't see it

Definately good runs on the board :drinks2:

Think about this you've got more power on tap than a buggati veyron, for what would be a fraction of the price, that's impressive

Its NOT blow by !! Its vapour in crankcase !! Hot oil and condensation causes vapour like any ethanol / alcohol engine!!
If it was just blow by you wouldn't see it!! That's why alcohol engines run catch cans etc..
With quality Cosworth pistons and rings the seal is great !! Not an issue !!!

update of the build.......sold my custom rockers to a mate who needed them asap and just got another set on friday.
we made some small changes to design inc. removed about 15 grams per rocker and shifted tappet location (factory rockers dont sit bang in the middle of valve stem).

assembled the new set today and set up in the engine.

just waiting to see when we can dyno again for an extra 7 hp to crak the 1000 mark :)

Image

Image

again, these are NOT au rockers made for tunnel vision in melbourne.
ive had them made by a great local cnc shop in western sydney.

they will fit ea -el ratio engines and no doubt they can be bought through atomic performance in the near future

the first set of grub screws i had machined (domed end) and heat treated went flat on the very point, but re adjusting does away with it.

ive got the cnc guy doing another two sets with less of a dome (more surface contact with valve stem) and will heat treat to a harder case then first lot and see how they go.

very simple to set up too and on a high hp engine, some basic tweaking will keep everything working nice.

so power output is higher, wish i had some bigger street tyres for it, only had my 18 x 8s :(

hope to take the sohc record with std chassis, think Rod has done 8.6 or so.

will be a test if the axles can handle one pass though.

once the chassis is built im aiming to crack into the 7s
8.166 @ 163.99 MPH on only 29psi boost (another 9 psi still up my sleeve) on the cars 5th pass

MOST POWERFULL SOHC 4LT ENGINE.

1042 hp ( 777 kws ) @ 39 psi and aiming for 7s with 1109kg.
can it be done? who knows but it will be fun trying

not sure mate, everyone seems to have mods to chassis in the non modded chassis class anyway. think its up to how honest the owner is.

to me a street car is how its driven on the street and would have no issues with local law, eg dropping an exhaust, changing to slicks or even another fuel/ tune does not count as a street car in my books. number plates me stuff all these days

zero or hero tonight at sydney dragway. RBKILA's last run with standard chassis.

going to be hard trying to put down all the power and only get one crack at it as im not chancing axles on two passes.

looking forward to starting the build and aiming for 7s :)
