going in my first drag race meting.

as the title says,competing in my first (legal) drag raceing.
53 years old! i'm so excited feel like i'm a young hoon again.
it will be interesting to see how i go and how my car goes,it's going to be a fun day.
any tips would be apreciated.been watching nhra for years,so ive got a bit of an idea of what goes on,lights -ect.
tyre pressures i think i need to drop.but not sure how much.iv'e got a choice 235-45/17s with good sticky tyres or
255-50/18s
any help would be great.

You'll have a blast out there Brian. Traction can be a bit of a problem, so don't be to concerned about the times, just race the bloke next to you and have fun.

I'd go the 17's, maybe let them down to 25 and see how you go.

I think we have a thread somewhere on here with advice about drag racing?

You should have a dig around, you might pick up some handy hints.
